Men’s Tennis preview: NCAA Singles Championships

Senior Sebastian Gorzny and sophomore Sebastian Eriksson will begin play on November 18 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
Orlando, Fla. – Texas Men's Tennis will have two players competing in the 2025-26 NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championships, which will begin on Tuesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. This will be the second year the individual championships will be played in the fall after having previously been played in May following the team championships.
The Longhorns will be represented in singles play by senior No. 12 Sebastian Gorzny and sophomore No. 54 Sebastian Eriksson, who will start in the round of 64 on Tuesday. Gorzny will open against Ian Mayew of North Carolina at 9 a.m. ET/8 a.m. CT, while Eriksson will face 9-16 seed No. 60 Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk of Baylor at the same time.
Gorzny had qualified for the championships by being a quarterfinalist at the ITA All-American Championships earlier this fall, while Eriksson reached the finals of the ITA Texas Regionals to qualify.
The NCAA singles and doubles competition will be conducted November 18-23.
