Duplantier II, Belyeu propel Longhorns to 4-3 win on Saturday.

AUSTIN, Texas — Right-hander Andre Duplantier II registered a season-best 3 2/3 scoreless innings and right fielder Max Belyeu delivered the game-winning double in the seventh, as No. 16 Texas (4-1) secured the series over Dartmouth (0-2) with a 4-3 victory Saturday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

After the Big Green took a 2-1 advantage in the fourth, Duplantier II (1-0) silenced the visitors.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound hurler retired nine of the first 10 batters he faced, helping spark the Longhorns' offense.

Duplantier II struck out the first two batters in the fifth before generating a double play in the sixth.

In the bottom half, sophomore Will Gasparino erased the narrow deficit with an RBI single up the middle.

Following a seven-pitch frame from Duplantier II, Texas took its first lead of the day.

With a runner on first and two outs in the seventh, Belyeu dropped a go-ahead double into center field, plating redshirt senior Kimble Schuessler from first base.

The one-run cushion would be more than enough for Duplantier II and the Longhorns' bullpen.

Duplantier II sat down a pair of Big Green batters in the eighth and righty Max Grubbs notched the final four outs to lock up his first career save.

Dartmouth right-handed pitcher Bryce Loeger (0-1) was tagged with loss, throwing four innings in relief.

Reigning SEC Pitcher of the Week Luke Harrison picked up a no-decision. The southpaw yielded one unearned run over 3 1/3 frames, before being lifted for freshman hurler Drew Rerick.

Texas will look to complete the sweep on Sunday. First pitch is set for noon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
