Longhorns hosting for 38th time in program history
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas has been tabbed the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Division Baseball Championship and will welcome second-seeded UTSA, third-seeded Kansas State and fourth-seeded Houston Christian to UFCU Disch-Falk Field for the NCAA Austin Regional, the selection committee announced Monday.
Texas (42-12), which is hosting for the 38th time in program history, will have the opportunity to host the super regional round should they advance. The Austin Regional is paired with the Los Angeles Regional, hosted by UCLA.
The Longhorns are making their 64th postseason appearance and own an all-time NCAA Regional record of 155-59-1 (.723), including an 87-22 (.798) ledger in Austin.
Each regional field features four teams, playing in a double-elimination format. All 16 regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, May 30 to Monday, June 2 (if necessary).
Texas last hosted a regional in 2022, when No. 2 seed Louisiana Tech, No. 3 seed Dallas Baptist and No. 4 seed Air Force visited UFCU Disch-Falk Field in early June.
All session tickets will go on sale to Longhorn Foundation donors at the Icon level and above at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27.
If available, single session tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 29.
