AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Baseball team's 2025 campaign came to a close Sunday evening, as the top-seeded Longhorns fell to the second-seeded UTSA Roadrunners, 7-4, at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Roadrunners (47-13) raced out to an early 7-0 lead, highlighted by a five-spot in the third, and never looked back to clinch the NCAA Austin Regional title.

Third baseman Norris McClure sparked the offensive with a two-run homer in the first. McClure finished 3-for-5 with a pair of extra base-hits and three RBI. UTSA batted around two innings later to cap off their outburst.

Texas (44-14) chipped at the deficit throughout the night, but the Longhorns couldn't overcome the hole.

Third baseman Casey Borba put Texas on the board in the fourth, while first baseman Kimble Schuessler and right fielder Max Belyeu each homered across the final two innings.

UTSA right-hander Gunnar Brown (4-2) tossed five innings of one-run baseball. Brown scattered six hits and struck out four to earn the win.

Righty Robert Orloski (9) pitched the final three frames to punch the Roadrunners' ticket to their first-ever super regional appearance.

Following the season finale, Borba, Schuessler, catcher Rylan Galvan and second baseman Ethan Mendoza were named to the 2025 NCAA Austin Regional All-Tournament Team.
