The NCBWA National Freshman Pitcher of the Year notched a 4-1 ledger and a 1.94 ERA over 51 innings, recording 12 walks and 74 strikeouts.
Volantis — who was also tabbed an NCBWA Freshman All-American and Stopper of the Year Award finalist — paces all rookies nationally in WHIP (0.88) and saves (12) and ranks second in ERA and B/AVG (1.85).
The 6-foot-6, 212-pound left-handed hurler is tied for 10th in the country in saves. Volantis' 11 saves in conference action are the most by an SEC freshman ever.

An All-SEC First Team selection, Galvan paced the Longhorns in seven offensive categories, highlighted by a 1.065 OPS.
The junior's team-best 15 home runs were the most by a Texas backstop in a season since Chris Abbe in 1992.
Galvan — who is one of three finalists for the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award — totaled a .296/.452/.613 slash line and totaled 47 RBI.
