Scottie Scheffler wins the Procore Championship

NAPA, Calif. — Former University of Texas star Scottie Scheffler carded a 5-under-par 67 on Sunday afternoon to rally for a one-stroke victory at the Procore Championship at Silverado Resort. Scheffler recorded his sixth win of the 2025 season and his 19th career PGA TOUR victory.

With his 19th career PGA TOUR win, Scheffler tied Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite for most career PGA TOUR victories by a Longhorn. Scheffler, who tallied seven wins in 2024, also joined Tiger Woods as the only players to record at least six victories in back-to-back seasons in the last 40 years.

Scheffler registered a four-round score of 19-under 269 (70-68-64-67) to finish one stroke ahead of runner-up Ben Griffin at 18-under 270. Griffin began Sunday's final round with a two-stroke cushion over Scheffler and expanded that lead to four strokes in the opening three holes. Scheffler carded three birdies in his first seven holes before tying Griffin at 18-under after a birdie on the 10th hole.

After a bogey on 11, Scheffler notched birdies on the par-five 12th and 15th holes to grab a two-shot advantage. Griffin made a birdie on 15 to climb to within a single stroke, but he closed with three straight pars to finish in second.

Scheffler's win on Sunday marked the 112th official PGA TOUR victory accomplished by 17 different individuals in the 99-year history of the Texas Men's Golf program.
