QUOTING HEAD COACH MIKE WHITE
"Today we were able to gather two wins against tough teams in Arizona and Stanford. Teagan Kavan was at her best throwing 12 innings on the day, allowing one earned run throughout both games. Our offensive stars were Katie Stewart with six RBI and two home runs and Ashton Maloney with five hits in seven at-bats. We were able to survive a scare in the first game when Reese Atwood was hit in the face by a pitch. As a precautionary measure, she was taken out of the first game but was able to return to the second game. Overall, it was a good day securing two wins."
QUOTING KATIE STEWART
"We had two gritty wins. We were kind of slow starting both games, but we found ways to break through. I'm proud of the way that this team played on both sides of the ball. The pitching stood out to me. In the second game, Cambria Salmon started off strong and held off Stanford before Teagan (Kavan) came in. Teagan (Kavan) threw great in both of her appearances."
QUOTING TEAGAN KAVAN
"It was great to get two quality wins today. So many of our girls contributed in big ways and helped us come out on top. Katie (Stewart) had a huge day for us, both on the field and behind the plate."
