Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because I knew this is where I was supposed to be. The coaches, the team culture and desire to go fast, the expectations and the standard.... and some of the most highly ranked academic programs in the country. Texas strives to be No. 1 in both athletics and academics, and that is a culture I want to be a part of and that I want to contribute to. Texas Rowing is special and I am very excited to be a part of this program and to get to work.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I decided to pursue rowing after transferring to Notre Dame, as I was looking to continue my athletic career and rowing was the perfect fit for me moving forward. I started to pick up rowing quickly and it was all very exciting to me to be competing at a high level. The thing I love most about rowing is the feeling you get when the boat is surging ahead with everyone laying it all out there together and it feels like you are flying!”
