Before Texas
Competed in track and field in high school … was a three-year letterwinner as a pole vaulter … a 2021 state regional qualifier … earned first-team All-District honors in 2020-21.
Why Texas?
“I chose Texas for its academic offerings.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I pursued rowing because I missed being a part of a competitive, organized sport and was excited to try something new. I love the team atmosphere and communal effort that goes into the sport. I am continually learning and growing alongside my teammates - there is nothing more rewarding."
Personal
- Parents are TJ Yi and Sara Aukland
- Has an older brother, Micheal Letuli, and a younger sister, Kimora Yi
- Began rowing at the age of 19
- Majoring in biology (pre-med)
- Enjoys going to concerts, running, and spending time with friends and family.
