- Four-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Fall 2022, Spring 2023)
AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)
- Stroked the Third Varsity 8+ to victory (6:36.366) at the Big 12 Championship.
AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
- Bowed the Third Varsity 8+ to a first-place win (6:54.670) at the Big 12 Championship.
- Bowed the Third Varsity 8+ A to a first-place win (6:29.593) at the Longhorn Invite.
Before Texas
Competed in swim at Round Rock High School ... served as a captain for the Dragons ... also competed for Austin Trinity Aquatic Club and South Texas Swimming ... qualified for winter nationals in 2018.
Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because of the stellar academics and I knew I would be surrounded by individuals who would push me to be a stronger and more well-rounded person.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I wanted to try something new and surrounding myself with a team that always wants to improve is what made me fall in love with the sport.”
Personal
- Parents are He Yin and Li Zhao
- Has one brother, Andrew, who is also a student at The University of Texas
- Started rowing at the age of 18
- Currently majoring in business with a focus on management information systems
- Enjoys baking, swimming, shopping and hanging out with friends.
