Named first team Capital One Academic All-American ... nabbed his ninth save of the season June 6 against Houston by throwing two shutout innings to preserve a 4-2 win ... picked up his second win of the season by tossing four perfect innings in relief with four strikeouts against Rice May 31 ... saved his eighth game of the season May 3 against West Virginia when he threw three scorless innings in relief to preserve a 2-0 victory ... against Prairie View A&M on April 29 he notched his seventh save by tossing a shutout ninth inning in a 6-3 Longhorn victory ... earned his sixth save of the year against UTPA on Aprill 22 when he threw a scoreless ninth inning in a 5-4 victory ... picked up his fifth save of the year April 11 against Oklahoma when he threw a scoreless 10th inning to preserve a 10-8 lead ... won his first game of the season on March 30 against Texas Tech when he threw five innings in relief, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks while striking out four ... earned his fourth save March 15 against Kansas when he threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings, yielding only one hit and striking out one in preserving a 2-1 victory ... Made four starts in 28 appearances as a freshman, going 2-3 with a 3.50 ERA and two saves ... in 64 1/3 innings, allowed 55 hits and 25 earned runs with 25 walks and 48 strikeouts ... opponents hit .237 ... did not allow a run in six straight appearances from April 13 through April 24 (12 1/3 innings) ... allowed just one run on seven hits in a start of 4 2/3 innings with two walks and three strikeouts on May 19 against Baylor ... threw two no-hit innings on May 12 against Texas Southern in the second game of a doubleheader, striking out two ... threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings, giving up only a hit on May 1 against Prairie View A&M ... gave up two hits in 1 2/3 scoreless innings on April 24 against Central Arkansas to earn the win ... threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings and gave up just one hit on April 22 against Kansas ... struck out four in two no-hit innings on April 20 against Kansas ... threw three no-hit innings on April 17 against Texas State, walking two and striking out one, to collect his first collegiate win ... allowed two hits in two scoreless innings on April 14 against Oklahoma State ... earned his second save on the year with three innings at Texas Tech on April 7, allowing one run on two hits with two walks ... earned his first collegiate save on March 18 at Oklahoma with two scoreless innings, allowing one hit with one walk ... threw two scoreless innings on March 6 against Dallas Baptist, allowing one hit and one walk ... struck out five batters in four scoreless innings on March 3 against Tennessee with two hits and two walks ... went 1 2/3 innings on Feb. 21 against UT Arlington and did not allow a hit with one walk and three strikeouts ... made his collegiate debut with a start on Feb. 19 against Duke, going three innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits with a walk and four strikeouts.
