A unanimous first team All-Big 12 selection ... started 50 games while batting .393 with an on base percentage of .483 and a slugging percentage of .545 ... his .393 average ranked 12th nationally and is the highest mark by a Longhorn since Dustin Majewski hit .401 in 2002 ... he’s one of just two Longhorns to hit .390 or better in a season in the last 25 years (also Majewski) ... led the Longhorns in hits (70), doubles (11), triples (8), RBIs (29), walks (28), and total bases (97) ... had a team-high 20 games with mulitple hits ... had a 16-game hit streak from March 5-March 30, during which he recorded 25 total hits ... ended the season on a nine-game hitting streak from April 28-May 17, during which he had 14 hits ... first game of the season against Sacramento State on February 15 went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and a double ... on February 24 he went 3-for-3 against Nebraska with one RBI, one run and a double as Texas won 2-0 ... followed that performance with a 3-for-4 outing against Sam Houston State on February 26 as he recorded one RBI and a triple ... versus Texas State on April 9 went 4-for-4 with 2 RBI, three runs, one double and a walk ... against West Virginia on April 20 he went 3-for-4 with one RBI, three runs, a walk, a double and a triple.
