Carli Todd is in her ninth season with the Texas Baseball program and second as director of operations in 2024. Beginning in 2019, Todd served as the Director of Player Development before absorbing the operations duties in 2023. She previously served as the Assistant Media Relations Director for the program from 2016-18.
In her role, Todd is responsible for the team’s day-to-day operations, including travel, meals, and accommodations. She manages the team’s budget, equipment, and on-campus recruiting. In addition to the administrative duties, Todd oversees the program’s creative efforts, academics, community service and 4EVER Texas initiatives while also assisting with camp operations.
During Todd’s tenure with Texas Baseball, the Longhorns have won three Big 12 Conference Championships, competed in six NCAA Regionals, four NCAA Super Regionals and advanced the College World Series three times. Additionally since 2016, Todd has worked with 53 players who have earned a total of 67 All-Big 12 honors, including three league players of the year and two conference pitchers of the year. Ten Longhorns have also been named as All-Americans, while Kody Clemens was the 2018 Baseball America National Player of the Year and Ivan Melendez earned the 2022 Golden Spikes Award.
Numerous Longhorn players have gone onto professional baseball during Todd’s time with the program. Since 2016, there have been 42 Texas players selected in the Major League Baseball draft and five have made their MLB debut.
Prior to Texas, the New Jersey native spent five seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays communications department where she focused on media and player relations. She was a graduate assistant in the DePaul athletics communications department from 2011-12 and as an undergraduate was named Sport Management Student of the Year at the University of Tampa, where she spent time working for the Division II baseball program and where she graduated in 2011.
