AS A SENIOR (2016)
Walked and singled in the 3-2 win at UTSA (April 6) ... Managed singles during the opener and third game of the series against BYU (April 1-2) ... Knocked in a run during the second inning of the 3-2 victory over Texas State (March 30) ... Homered in the opener and batted .600 (3-for-5) at the dish with a RBI combined over the two losses at No. 20 Baylor (March 25-26) ... Started the key seventh-inning rally with an infield single as Texas fought out of a two-run hole to squeeze past Iowa in eight frames, 4-3 ... Posted a 2-for-3 effort with a double and two RBIs during the 10-8 shootout win over Samford (March 12) at the Maverick Classic ... Was 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored in the 5-0 shutout of Weber State (February 28) ... Picked up her first RBI of the season on a bases loaded walk during the 17-2 (5 inn.) win over Toledo (February 19) at the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational ... Earned playing time in 54 games (53 starts) for Texas in 2015 (51 at catcher, one at designated player, two at third base) ... Posted a .312 average with a single-season career-best 25 runs scored, 16 walks, nine doubles, 10 HR’s and 46 RBIs ... Picked up a third team NFCA All-Central Region selection ... Posted a career-best 16-game streak of reaching base safely from March 15th at Arkansas to April 18th against Iowa State ... Her hot bat lead Texas at the NCAA Los Angeles Regional, racking up a .545 average (6-for-11), while totaling three tallies, two home runs and five RBIs, including a 3-for-4 performance with a home run and three RBIs in the opening game against San Diego State (May 15) ... Shireman’s clutch solo shot in the seventh inning during NCAA play against San Diego State (May 16) pushed UT to a brief 3-2 lead ... Managed a hit in each of the three wins at Oklahoma State (May 1-3) and two total RBI ... Was 2-for-3 with her fourth HR and two RBIs as Texas knocked off No. 12 UCLA (February 19) and 1-for-3 with a double during the 8-7 loss to Fresno State (February 20) at the Mary Nutter Classic ... Hit .375 in the Texas Classic (February 13-15) with her biggest contribution coming on a two-run blast against Wichita State (February 14) ... Posted perhaps her finest weekend as a Longhorn while starting all five games (four at catcher, one at third base) of the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz., batting .462 overall (6-for-13) with five runs scored, two doubles, two HR’s and seven RBIs ... Blasted a two-run, walk-off HR on a 3-2 pitch with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Northwestern (February 7), 5-4, was 2-for-4 with a RBI versus Stanford (February 7) and blasted a three-run HR in the 9-4 victory at #16 Arizona State (February 8).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014)
Appeared in 34 games, making 25 starts at four different positions (OF, 3B, C, 1B) … named to 2014 Big 12 All-Academic Fist Team … tabbed to Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll … hit .284 with three home runs, 16 RBIs and eight runs scored … all three home runs came during the Louisiana Classic (Feb. 7-Feb. 9) … selected to Louisiana Classic All-Tournament team … drove in a career-high 3 RBIs against Purdue (Feb. 9) and at Iowa State (April 11) … turned in three-hit games against North Carolina (Feb. 7) and Arizona State (March 7) … went 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored against Iowa (March 15) … hit .625 (5-for-8) during Texas Invitational (Feb. 14-16) with three RBIs.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
Made an immediate impact by becoming the second Longhorn to hit a home run in her first plate appearance, joining Jacqueline Williams, who homered against Sam Houston State on Feb. 6, 2004 ... Shireman’s long ball came after entering the season opener against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi ... a solid right-field option for UT who appeared in 39 games with 24 starts, 21 in right, two as the designated player and one at catcher ... team posted a 17-4 record during right-field starts (.810 winning percentage) ... hit most often in the eighth spot of the order (9-3 record/.750 winning percentage), but squad posted a perfect 9-0 record when hitting ninth ... during the campaign, recorded 19 hits, 15 runs batted in and 14 scored while walking eight times ... recorded five multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI contests ... turned in a pair of season-high three-hit games and two three-RBI performances ... drove in eight runners from third base with less than two outs in 14 opportunities (57.1 percent success rate) ... experienced action in three NCAA Tournament games, starting the contest against Oklahoma (June 1) in the Women’s College World Series ... played in 14 of team’s 18 Big 12 Conference games and posted a .286 batting average (eight-for-28) with four runs scored and eight driven in ... enjoyed hitting at Red & Charline McCombs Field, posting a .343 batting average (12-for-35) with 10 runs scored and seven driven in ... in 12 April games, hit .350 (seven-for-20) and slugged .450 ... when entering the game as a reserve, recorded a .308 average (four-for-13) with three runs scored and four batted in ... during Iowa State series (April 12-14), hit .625 (five-for-eight) with four runs batted in and three scored ... drove in a career-high three runs at Kansas in game two of series (March 29) while recording first two Big 12 Conference hits ... tallied first multiple-hit game with three against Penn State (March 15) ... recorded initial game-winning RBI versus the Nittany Lions with fifth-inning single ... earned first career start at catcher against Syracuse (March 2), when Kim Bruins tallied career-best 14 strikeouts ... recorded hits in consecutive games for first time versus Houston Baptist (Feb. 20) and Lamar (Feb. 22) ... scored a season-best two runs versus Utah State (Feb. 23).

Played for the 2013 USA Softball Junior Women’s National Team ... squad earned the silver medal in the International Softball Federation X Junior Women’s World Championship in Brampton, Ontario ... finished the tournament with a 1.000 batting average, five hits, including two home runs, and four runs batted in ... in the starting lineup for contests against Puerto Rico and Korea.
NATIONALLY
Played for Impact Gold out of Houston for head coach K.C. Jackson … team finished second at 2012 ASA Gold Nationals and third at Colorado Fireworks tournament … squad took third at 2011 ASA Gold Nationals and fourth at 2010 ASA Gold Nationals.
BEFORE TEXAS
A two-year starter at Lutheran South Academy after solely running on the track squad first two springs … was the No. 15 overall recruit in the 2012 ESPN High School Softball 100 rankings as well as the third-best catcher in the country, third-best recruit in Texas and fourth-best prospect in the Midlands region … earned a place on the ESPNHS Second Team All-America squad as a catcher following final campaign … named to 2012 Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) First Team 4A All-State squad as well as the TAPPS Academic All-State Softball Team … as a junior, led TAPPS with 10 home runs … a first-team all-district and second-team all-state selection following 2011 campaign … also played basketball for the Lady Pioneers, helping the squad to a 16-8 overall record as a senior and earning a place on the TAPPS 4-4A All-District Second Team … as a member of the track program, threw the shot put and competed in the pole vault as a senior … junior campaign, primary events were the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles as well as the pole vault … during 2011 campaign, won the TAPPS 4A South Regional title with a vault of 10 feet, two feet better than the second-place finisher … at the 2011 TAPPS 4A State Championship, won the title with a 11-6 vault, the best in the state during the campaign for any TAPPS class.

Full name is Erin Nicole Shireman … daughter of Kirk and Kris Shireman … an aerospace engineering major who has already accepted a post-graduate job at Lockheed-Martin in Houston where she will be working on the Orion Space Capsule beginning on August 29, 2016 ... will be honored in April of 2016 at the Student Engineering Council’s Award Banquet as its Marvin Wright Athlete Recipient … graduated second in high school class … Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection (Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Fall 2013, Fall and Spring 2014 & Fall and Spring 2015) … Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team honoree (2012-13) ...
