Made 59 starts at catcher and played in all 60 games … recorded only three errors for a .994 fielding percentage … threw out nine would-be base stealers … paced the squad in defensive chances (477) and putouts (446) … collected nine multiple-hit contests and seven games with two or more runs batted in … appeared most often in the eighth spot of the batting order, with the squad going 43-12 in such contests (.782 winning percentage) … batted .322 (19-for-59) in Big 12 Conference action … posted a .330 (29-for-88) average during home contests … recorded a double and two runs batted in on May 20 in the second game of a doubleheader to help Texas win the NCAA Austin Regional against Northwestern … tied career best with three hits to go along with two runs batted in at No. 4 Oklahoma (May 6) … blasted first career grand slam at Houston (March 28) … collected two hits in back-to-back games against Sam Houston State (March 3-4) … opened the season with consecutive three-for-three games against Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 9) and against UTSA (Feb. 10) … hit a home run in the opener against Cal State Fullerton … scored a personal-best three runs and set career high with four RBIs during the contest against the Titans.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Appeared in 28 games and earned six starts … notched a single and came around to score in UT’s 4-3 victory at No. 11 Nebraska (April 10) … entered the contest as a pinch runner and scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch in UT’s 4-3 victory against No. 20 Texas A&M (April 6) … posted a season-best two hits in the Longhorns’ 5-0 victory against Hofstra (March 4) … belted first collegiate homer, a two-run shot, in Texas’ 10-0 blanking of Long Island (Feb. 26) … recorded a two-run double for first collegiate hit in the Longhorns’ 8-0 win over Colorado State (Feb. 19).
NATIONALLY
Played club softball for Texas Bombers Gold and head coach Scott Smith … led squad to a 17th-place finish at the 2010 ASA 18U Gold National Championship and a second-place finish at the 2010 18U Louisville Slugger Tournament … helped the Bombers to a third-place finish a the 2010 18U Region 7 Gold Qualifier.
