OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Raced three times … finished fourth in the 60m and eighth in the 200m in his UT debut at the Leonard Hilton Invitational … competed in the 60m, 200m and 4x400m at the Razorback Invitational … raced in the 60m hurdles at the Tiger Paw Invitational.
BEFORE TEXAS: Competed at Iowa Western Community College for two seasons … earned Junior All-America honors at the 2019 NJCAA Indoor Championships with a personal-best 8.30 in the 60m hurdles … clocked a season-best 14.08 and finished ninth in the 110-meter hurdles at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships … A three-time qualifier for the IHSA Class 2A State Track and Field Championships in the 60m hurdles, 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles.
PERSONAL: Son of Ernest and Pamela Downing … Pamela was a two-time NAIA All-American at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside … has two brothers, Quincy and Ernest Downing III … Quincy was a nine-time All-American and five-time All-SEC honoree at LSU … also was a finalist in the 400m hurdles at the USA Olympic Trials and was a 2012 World Junior Gold Medalist in the 4x400m … cousin, Al Downing, was an MLB All-Star who played for both the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers … lettered twice in football and three times in track at Saint Viator High School … was born in Dayton, Ohio.
