OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Competed three times … opened with a ninth-place finish in the long jump at the FasTrak Collegiate Opener … took sixth with a 7.21m/23-8 long jump at the Leonard Hilton Invitational … placed ninth in the heptathlon at the Big 12 Championships … scored 5,134 points.
2018-19 (Junior)
OUTDOOR: Competed in the 200m, shot put and javelin at the Michael Johnson Invitational and National Relay Championships … scored a personal-best 6,326 points and finished sixth in the decathlon at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
INDOOR: Helped Texas place 10th in the 4x400m at the Ted Nelson Invitational.
2017-18 (Sophomore)
OUTDOOR: Did not compete.
INDOOR: Finished third in the heptathlon with a career-best score of 5,657 at the Texas Tech Classic & Multis … won the 60m (6.97) … won the Big 12 Indoor heptathlon title … was the top performer in the long jump, shot put, high jump and 60m hurdles … also set career bests in the 60m, long jump shot put and high jump … finished 14th at the NCAA Championships to earn USTFCCCA All-America honors.
2016-17 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Won the USATF Junior Championships decathlon with a total of 7,547 points … claimed gold at Pan Am Junior Championships with a score of 7,514 points … finished third in the long jump at the Big 12 Championships … qualified for the NCAA West Preliminaries in the long jump.
INDOOR: Finished third in the heptathlon at the Big 12 Championships … part of a 1-2-3 UT finish in the heptathlon.
HIGH SCHOOL: The No. 1-ranked high school decathlete in the U.S. as a junior and senior … ranked No. 4 in the world during his junior season … placed fourth in the decathlon at the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships … won a total of 11 Tennessee state titles during his high school career, a state record … won five state titles as both a junior and senior … a state champion and four-time runner-up as a sophomore … helped lead Brentwood Academic to Tennessee state titles as a junior and senior … Brentwood set a state record for most team points scored at the state meet during his senior season … led the team to a runner-up finish at state as a sophomore … lettered all four years.
PERSONAL: Son of Jason and Christi Patrick … has one brother, James, and one sister, Vivian … father, Jason, was an All-American decathlete (1993) at The University of Texas … member of honor roll in high school as well as an improv comedy group.
