OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Competed in the mile at the Howie Ryan Invitational, but did not finish.
CROSS COUNTRY: Represented Texas in six meets … placed fifth at the Bear Twilight … finished second behind a personal-best 5K at the Texas Invitational … ran a personal-best 8K at the Chile Pepper Festival.
2018-19 (Sophomore)
OUTDOOR: Ran a personal-best 1,500m and finished third at the Texas Relays … helped Texas win the 4x1,500m at the National Relay Championships … placed 10th in the steeplechase at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
INDOOR: Logged a personal-best 8:31.48 to bring home fourth place in the Houston Invitational … posted a personal-best mile to win the event at the Texas A&M Aggie Twilight.
CROSS COUNTRY: Finished fifth at the Rice Invitational … placed 28th at the Big 12 Championships … was Texas’ second-best finisher at the NCAA South Central Regional … competed at the NCAA Championships.
2017-18 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Finished sixth in the steeplechase at the Texas Relays … won the steeplechase at the Michael Johnson Invitational … ran in the steeplechase at the National Relay Championships … finished sixth in the steeplechase at the Big 12 Championships.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in three meets … made his collegiate debut with a ninth-place finish at the Texas A&M Aggie Opener … placed 10th overall at the Texas Invitational … finished ninth for Texas at the Notre Dame Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in cross country and track four times … also lettered in soccer as a senior … set the Allen record in the 1600m and the 3200m … was an All-State competitor in cross country as a senior … also was Allen’s cross country MVP and team captain … earned the Iron Will Award for track … also a member of the National Honor Society and a National AP Scholar.
PERSONAL: Son of Matt and Charlene Johnson … has two sisters, Abby and Kate … mother, Charlene, graduated from UT.
