OUTDOOR: Won the high jump with a PB mark of 2.16m (7-1) at the Kirk Baptiste Invitational to open the outdoor season... Became a Texas Relays Champion in high jump with a PB mark of 2.17m (7-1.50)... Won the high jump with a mark of 2.12m (6-11.50) at the Tom Tellez Alumni Invite…Returned to competition at the SEC Outdoor Championships in high jump and finished tied for 7th clearing 2.12m (6-11.5) to score 1.5 points... Qualified for the NCAA Championships in high jump clearing 2.17m (7-1.5) at West Prelims... Finished 20th at his first NCAA Championships clearing 2.10m (6-10.75).
INDOOR: Made his Texas debut at the Arkansas Invitational and finished second in high jump after clearing 2.12m (7-0.25)... Won the high jump at the Dr. MLK Jr. Invitational clearing 2.12m (6-11.5)... Finished seventh after clearing 2.08m (6-9.75) at the NM Collegiate Classic... Competed in high jump at the Tiger Paw Invitational... Competed in high jump at the SEC Championships...
2023-24 (Freshman):
OUTDOOR: Reached the NCAA Regional Meet in his freshman season clearing a PB of 2.14m (7-0.25)... Sixth at the PAC-12 meet in high jump and cleared 2.06m (6-9)... Third-place in high jump at Desert Heat Classic with a clearance of 2.10m... Won at Mt. SAC Relays clearing 2.13m (6-11.75)... Runner-up after clearing 2.03m (6-7.75) at Stanford Invitational... Third at Oregon Preview at 2.00m...
INDOOR: Competed in four indoor meets... Runner-up in Ken Shannon Last Chance meet clearing 2.10m (6-10.75)... Ninth in high jump at Don Kirby Invitational clearing 2.02m (6-7.50)... Cleared 2.07m (6-9.5) at the Razorback Invitational... Runner-up at UW Indoor Preview clearing 2.05m (6-8.75)...
Prior to Texas & Oregon: Finished fourth in the high jump at the 2023 Texas 5A State Championships for Frisco Wakeland HS; had a best of 6-8 at the state meet…cleared 6-10 to win District 9-5A title; one of four victories during senior year…was runner-up at the 9/10-5A area meet with a then lifetime best of 7-0, good for the first seven-foot clearance of his career…established a PB clearance of 7-1 during the Team Quest Invitational in June 2023…won the 2023 Texas Tech Under Armour HS Classic with an indoor best of 6-10.75…cleared 6-7.25 at the 2023 Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field…also competed at the 2023 USATF U20 Championships in Eugene.
