Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because I was born to be here! The love for The University of Texas has been instilled in my family ever since I was a little girl and there has been no doubt in my mind that Texas is where I belong. The culture, the people, and the standard for excellence surpasses any university in the nation. The drive to become a better version of yourself is so contagious and unmatched. Being a longhorn is a privilege and a blessing.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I had gone to a Texas Rowing camp six years before I had even joined the team and started rowing, which is where I first fell in love with the sport. Those five days really pushed me to walk on six years later. Rowing is a sport where the mind and the body must grow stronger than you ever thought possible and that is something I strive to conquer each and every day.”
