Why Texas?
“The amazing school pride and outstanding academics, paired with one of the top rowing programs in the country made it a very easy decision. Not to mention, Austin is one of the coolest cities I've ever seen. What starts here changes the world!”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“For as long as I can remember, I've loved competing. After watching my older sister race in a national championship regatta, I gave it a try my freshman year of high school and I immediately knew this sport was for me. Rowing is the ultimate team sport. Each athlete in the boat working as one, trusting each other and the process and competing for something other than ourselves. When a crew finds that magic, the results take care of themselves.”
