Outdoor (Sophomore):
·Completed the mile in 5:22.02 for 19th at the Big 12/SEC/C-USA meet.
·Set a personal best in the mile with a time of 5:18.58 at the Texas A&M Dual, for fourth.
·PR[apos]d in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:23.73 for 18th at the Texas A&M Invitational.
Indoor (Sophomore):
·Completed the mile in 5:22.02 for 19th at the Big 12/SEC/C-USA meet.
·Set a personal best in the mile with a time of 5:18.58 at the Texas A&M Dual, for fourth.
·PR[apos]d in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:23.73 for 18th at the Texas A&M Invitational.
Cross Country (Sophomore):
· Opened the season with a second-place finish at the Texas State Invitational ... crossed the line in 18:07.
· Ran a personal-best 5K time of 17:25 for seventh place at the Islander Splash.
2008-09
Outdoor (Freshman):
· Clocked a personal-best in the 1,500m at the Texas Invite ... finished in 4:54.05 for seventh place.
· Posted a 13th place finish in the 1,500m at both the Texas Twilight (4:58.39) and the Texas Relays (5:26.50).
Cross Country (Freshman)
· Competed in two events during the 2008 UT Cross Country season.
· Took 15th at the Texas State Invitational completing the 5K course in a season-best time of 19:28.
· Placed 11th for UT and 79th overall at the Texas A&M Invitational (19:58).
PRIOR TO TEXAS
· Three-year letterwinner at Lamar HS in track and two-year letterwinner in cross country for head coach Kelly Thompson.
· Voted Lamar[apos]s Most Athletic Girl in 2008.
· 2008 District 20-5A 1600m Champion and runner up in 3200m ... also placed third in her district in cross country.
· Posted a top 10 finish at the 2007 district cross country meet while also claiming third in the 1600m.
· Member of the 2006 4x400m relay team that won district.
PERSONAL
Born on June 3, 1990 to Marianne and Rob Jones in Houston ... older brother High (20), younger sister Sarah (16) and younger brother Keith (14) ... both parents are Texas Exes ... graduated with highest honors in the top three percent of her class at Lamar HS ... two-year officer for the National Honor Society at Lamar ... member of FCA ... majoring in natural sciences.
