• Started his outdoor season with a throw of 14.30m/46.11.00 in the shot put at the Texas Relays
• Finished sixth in the shot put at the Michael Johnson Invitational with a personal-best throw of 15.02m/49-3.50
• Also competed at the Texas Invitational in the shot put
Indoor:
• Placed 5th in the shot put at the Corky Classic with a mark of 13.83m (45-4.50)
• Finished 5th at the Texas A&M Quadrangular in the shot put with a mark of 14.61m (47-11.25)
• Competed in the shot put at the Texas Tech Classic & Multis, finishing 4th
• Took 14th place at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic in the shot put
• Placed 6th in the weight throw at the Corky Classic
• Threw a personal best at the Texas A&M Quadrangular in the weight throw with a mark of 15.49m(50-10.00), finishing 5th

• Tossed a personal best 15.65m (51-4.25) in the shot put at the New Mexico Classic, breaking his previous personal best by more than 5 feet
• Also improved his personal best in the weight throw by more than 3 feet at the New Mexico Classic
