LINCOLN, Neb. -- Sophomore right-hander Cole Green pitched his first career nine-inning complete-game to lead the No. 9 Texas Longhorns to a 9-2 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers to cap off a three-game Big 12 Conference baseball series sweep at Hawks Field.

Russell Moldenhauer plated Torres with a groundout to first base for the 1-0 lead.
The bottom of the Horns order tacked on two runs in the top of the second. Kevin Keyes drew a five-pitch walk, stole second base and eventually scored on a two-run home run to leftfield by Rowe. It was Rowe's fourth dinger of the season.
Texas inflated the cushion to 5-0 with three runs in the third inning. Belt hit a lead-off triple off the wall in leftfield and scored on a single up the middle by Clark. Tant Shepherd walked and Clark moved to third on a deep fly out by Keyes. Rupp plated Clark with a fielder's choice groundout.
Nebraska broke the scoring seal with an unearned run in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Jeff Tezak reached when Green dropped a putout toss from Belt at first base. Cody Asche drew a walk and Tezak moved to third on a groundout and scored on a single by Adam Bailey, cutting the lead to 5-1.
The Longhorns tacked on insurance runs in the fifth and sixth to push the margin to 7-1. Rupp drove in a run with a single in the fifth and Clark hit an RBI single in the sixth.
The Cornhuskers got back-to-back singles by Boomer Collins and Tezak to start the bottom of the sixth and Asche plated Collins with a sacrifice fly, shaving the UT edge to 7-2.
