- Reliever Tyler Lockwood's appearance against the Longhorns was the 85th of his career, tying the TCU career record (Stan Newton, 1998-2001) for appearances.
- Lockwood earned his seventh save of the season with his 1.1-inning outing.
- Catcher Bryan Holaday's solo homer in the eighth was his 13th long ball of the year, a mark that ties for second-best on the club.
