- Texas leads the all-time series against Oklahoma State by a razor-thin margin of 10-9-6, but is 6-2-1 in match-ups in Austin. OSU has had the better of things over the last 12 matches, as the Longhorns are just 2-5-5 over that span with all 12 contests resulting in either a tie or having been settled by just a single goal. The two teams tied last year in Stillwater, Okla., 0-0 (2OT), while the Cowgirls prevailed in the most recent meeting in Austin back on Oct. 31, 2014, 2-1.
- Texas enters this weekend's action coming off a tough Big 12 Conference-opening weekend that saw the Longhorns tie #RV Baylor on the road (1-1, 2OT) and lose a heartbreaker in overtime at Oklahoma (2-1, OT). Sophomore midfielder Katie Glenn scored her third goal of the season at 46:02 to give UT a lead against the Bears, while freshman forward Cyera Hintzen managed her second goal of the campaign at the 8:23 mark to push the Burnt Orange & White to an early advantage over the Sooners.
- The difference between home and road offensive effectiveness this season for Texas is pretty striking. UT's offense is averaging 2.3 goals and 16.7 shots-per-match at home this season, while totaling just 1.3 goals and 11.8 shots-per-match on the road. Conversely, the Longhorns defense is allowing just 0.7 goals and 9.3 shots-per-match at home while giving up 1.3 goals and 13.8 shots-per-match on the road.
- Texas loves to jump on its opponents early in matches in 2016 as the Longhorns have now scored their first goal of the match during the opening 15:21 of five separate contests this season and four times over the initial 9:38. UT holds a 3-2-0 overall record in such instances this season with goals from junior forward Olivia Brook (vs. Sam Houston State), sophomore forward Alexa Adams (vs. #19 Ohio State and Miami OH) and freshman forward Cyera Hintzen (vs. UCSB and #RV Baylor).

- Texas holds a 15-13-2 overall record in matches following a loss (total doesn't carry over losses from end of season to the next) under the guidance of Texas head coach Angela Kelly. UT was 4-6 in such instances back during her initial campaign of 2012, 3-2-0 after a loss in 2013, 3-3-1 in 2014, 3-1-1 in 2015 and is 2-1 so far in 2016.
- Texas has had no shortage of heroines thus far in 2016 as four different players (one from every class) own match-winning goals this season over the first 11 matches. Senior forward Jasmine Hart had the match-winner against the College of Charleston, junior forward Olivia Brook managed the winning score against Sam Houston State, sophomore forward Alexa Adams tickled the twine to top Miami (OH) and freshman forward Tecora Turner scored in the 65th minute to knock off previously unbeaten UCSB. The most different players to register a match-winning score in a single season under Angela Kelly is nine in both 2013 & 2014.
- Several Longhorns seem to ALWAYS be on the pitch. Senior defender Isabelle Kerr and freshman defender Atu Mshana have played all 1,025 possible minutes this season, while freshman defender Emma Jett (989) and senior midfielder Julia Dyche (986) and have been on the field for almost 1,000 of the available minutes.
- Scoring first and out-shooting opponents seem important as far as success goes for the 2016 Longhorns as Texas holds a 6-2-1 record when putting up the first goal of a match and is 6-1 overall when firing more total shots through 11 contests this season.
- Over the four-plus season tenure of head coach Angela Kelly, if Texas scores a goal, there's a pretty good chance UT will win the match. Since starting 2012, the Longhorns are 45-13-7 in contests where they tickle the twine at least once and are 6-2-1 in such situations so far this season.
