FORT WORTH, Texas—Despite carrying a three-run lead into the seventh inning, Texas Baseball could not hold off No. 9 TCU in Sunday's series finale as the Horned Frogs defeated the Longhorns, 4-3, in 10 innings.

Texas (31-19, 9-11 Big 12) got on the board in the third inning thanks to a Travis Jones bases-loaded sacrifice fly to put the Longhorns in front, 1-0.

In the sixth, sophomore Kody Clemens, who finished 3-for-4 on the day, hit his fifth home run of the year to extend the Longhorns' lead to 2-0. Texas added one more in the seventh inning when an errant throw allowed David Hamilton to score and make it 3-0 in favor of the Longhorns.

Texas got a solid start from right-hander Kyle Johnston who allowed just two hits and two walks over his first six innings of work. After issuing a pair of walks with one away in the seventh, however, Johnston's day was done. Sophomore Chase Shugart entered in relief and walked the first two batters he faced to force in a run and make it 3-1. After a strikeout, Shugart issued another run-scoring walk and the Longhorns' lead was cut to 3-2. With the bases still loaded, Beau Ridgeway entered and got out of the jam to limit the damage.

In the eighth inning, TCU picked up a single and a two-out double from Evan Skoug to knot things up at 3-3 entering the ninth.

Lefty Nick Kennedy (7-1) tossed a scoreless ninth before Luken Baker's RBI double in the 10th spelled the end for the Longhorns, who lost for the sixth time this season (and second time this series) via the walk-off.

The Longhorns will have the week off before hosting Incarnate Word on Tuesday, May 16 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
