No. 10 Men’s Golf sits atop Pool A after day two of Big 12 Match Play

Texas improves to 3-0 at Big 12 Match Play.
HOUSTON, Texas – No. 10 Texas men's golf sits tied for first place in Pool A with Texas Tech after picking up the third win of the Big 12 Match Play Tournament on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2-1 win over Iowa State.
Junior Christoffer Bring, sophomore Parker Coody and Freshman Travis Vick all picked up wins to lead the Longhorns to victory.
Bring had the most dominant performance with a 5&4 victory over Bryce Hammer.
Vick and Coody both won their matches by scores of 2&1 with Vick taking down Tripp Kinney and Parker Coody topping Ricky Costello.
In Pool A, No. 1 seed Texas Tech and No. 4 seed Texas have each won three matches to total nine points apiece. No. 7 seed Kansas has recorded three wins and a tie to total 10 points in Pool B. Pool Play will continue Sunday morning before the Final Round is contested on Sunday afternoon to determine the winner.
The Final Match will feature the team with the highest point total from Pool A competing against the team with the highest point total from Pool B. The Third Place Match will be between the teams with the second highest point totals from their respective pools. Each team will participate during the Final Afternoon.
Texas will face off with Texas Tech at 8 a.m. before heading into the championship round around 1:30 p.m.
