- Texas leads its all-time series against TCU by a total of 8-5-2, including a 5-1-1 mark in Austin. The Horned Frogs have had the better of the recent series, however, going 5-2-2 against the Horns since Aug. 21, 2009. UT is 2-0-1 versus TCU in the last three match-ups at Mike A. Myers Stadium dating to Sept. 27, 2013.
- With last weekend's sweep at No. 17 Kansas and Kansas State, Texas has started Big 12 play at a perfect 2-0 for the first time since 2017 and for the ninth time in school history (other instances were 2017, 2013, 2012, 2006, 2002, 2001, 2000 & 1999). This marks the fourth time the Longhorns have won the opening two matches of the league campaign under the guidance of head coach Angela Kelly.
- The Longhorns enter Thursday's match having recorded three consecutive shutouts for the first time since Sept. 15-24, 2017 (UTRGV, Iowa State, No. 5 West Virginia). The program record for consecutive shutouts is four straight accomplished from Oct. 12-24, 2008. UT also hasn't allowed a goal over its last 270 minutes of match action dating back to the start of the match on Sept. 22 against Grambling. This marks the second lengthy shutout streak for the Horns this season after going 261:05 without allowing a goal from Sept. 6-15.
- Junior midfielder Haley Berg has been riding quite the hot streak lately having SCORED SIX GOALS AND DISHED FIVE ASSISTS OVER TEXAS' LAST EIGHT MATCHES. She is currently tied for first in the Big 12 in assists (ranks seventh in NCAA Division I) and recently tied for the sixth-longest goal-scoring streak in school history by tickling the twine in three straight contests from Sept. 6-13.
- Texas' win at No. 17 Kansas marked UT's first over a ranked opponent since a 2-1 (OT) victory over No. 23 UCF on Aug. 24, 2018. It was also the Longhorns' first road victory over a ranked Big 12 foe since winning at No. 17 Texas Tech back on Oct. 16, 2015, 2-1 (2OT).
- Redshirt junior goalkeeper Nicole Curry was named the Big 12 Conference's Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 1) for the fourth time in her career after posting consecutive shutouts last week at No. 17 Kansas and Kansas State. The Dallas, Texas, native made six total stops, including a key 1-v-1 save on Katie Cramer in the 29th minute at KSU.
- Texas has spread the scoring around in a major way so far in 2019 as 10 DIFFERENT LONGHORNS have scored goals and 12 different players own points. Keep in mind that in 2018, the Burnt Orange & White had 10 different goal scorers over an entire 21-match season. The most players registering goals during a single campaign since Angela Kelly took over was 13 back in 2013.
- Due to graduation attrition and injuries, Texas has been forced to lean on a myriad of young players to fill out the starting XI so far in 2019. In all, 55-of-121 possible starts (45%) have gone to freshmen and sophomores. Including juniors, EIGHT Longhorns players have also earned their first starts in the Burnt Orange & White this year (midfielders Kailey Smith & Carlee Allen; forwards Sydney Nobles & Teni Akindoju; defenders Maddie Dorsett, Cameron Brooks & Peyton McGee; goalkeeper Savannah Madden).
- The injury bug has taken a bite out of the Longhorns this season as senior forward Cyera Hintzen missed three matches (Monmouth, Providence, Grambling) for precautionary reasons following a clash of heads/collision on Sept. 13 against Washington. Texas has or is still missing numerous expected major contributors from all over the pitch. Also included among the list who've missed time with injury in the early season are: redshirt junior forward Cydney Billups (missed first five matches), senior defender Emma Jett (missed first two matches and was limited over the next two), junior midfielder Emily Strouphauer (still rehabbing an ACL injury) and redshirt junior forward Tecora Turner (missed two matches against Washington & Monmouth).
- With her 70th-minute goal during the 1-0 win at No. 17 Kansas (Sept. 26), senior forward Cyera Hintzen registered her 11th career match-winning score. The Garland, Texas, native now owns 11 match-winners over her 25 career goals, meaning that 44% of the time she's scored, it has been to win a contest.
