The Longhorns hit four home runs and won their 10th-straight game.

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball launched four home runs and completed the sweep of New Orleans with a 9-3 win on Sunday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Longhorns (14-7) extended their winning streak to 10-straight games with their second-straight weekend series sweep.

Eric Kennedy went 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double, scoring three runs as well. Over the five-game week, Kennedy hit .550 with five homers, two doubles, 10 RBI and nine runs scored.

Lebarron Johnson Jr. started and pitched four innings, allowing two runs on just one hit. He struck out six batters but issued three walks, all in the fourth inning.

David Shaw pitched three scoreless innings out of the bullpen to earn his first win of the season. He didn't allow any hits and only issued one walk in his three innings.

Kennedy hit solo home runs in each of his first two at-bats to give the Longhorns an early 2-0 lead. His first homer led off the game, marking the first leadoff homer since Mike Antico on April 10, 2021 against Kansas State.

New Orleans tied the game up 2-2 in the fourth, taking advantage of three walks in the inning.

Texas retook the lead in the fourth inning on the third solo homer of the game, this one from Mitchell Daly to make the score 3-2.

The Longhorns put together a three-run sixth inning to extend their lead to 6-2. Powell and Guillemette both hit RBI singles and Dylan Campbell later scored on a sacrifice fly.

Campbell delivered the final blow of the game, launching a three-run homer in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 9-2.

Chase Lummus and Chris Stuart finished off the game with scoreless innings of relief.

Texas will continue its season-long 14-game homestand next week, hosting Incarnate Word on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. before welcoming Texas Tech for the Big 12 opening series.
