No. 14 Volleyball sweeps Oklahoma

The Longhorns hit .396 in the match and held the Sooners to a .184 hitting percentage.
NORMAN, Okla. – No. 14 Texas Volleyball rolled to a sweep of Oklahoma, 25-14, 25-15, 25-19, behind an incredible match from Madisen Skinner on Friday in front of a sold-out crowd of 3,325 at McCasland Field House.
The Longhorns (16-6, 10-3) will now return home for the final two regular season matches at Gregory Gymnasium, against Tennessee on Wednesday and Ole Miss on Saturday.
Skinner was outstanding in the match, with 21 kills on just 29 total attacks for a .690 hitting percentage. Reagan Rutherford finished with nine kills, while Marianna Singletary added six kills and seven blocks.
Averi Carlson dished out 35 assists and added five digs and one kill. Emma Halter anchored the backline and led the team with 13 digs, while adding four assists.
Keonilei Akana had another strong match as well with eight digs, a team-high two service aces and one assist.
The Longhorns were dominant during the first set, hitting .467 with Skinner leading the way with seven kills. Texas also dominated at the service line with four aces in the set and won it 25-14.
Texas rolled in the second set as well after a slightly slow start. The Longhorns trailed 10-8 in the set but then rallied to grab a 15-12 lead and never looked back to win it 25-15.
In the third set, Texas jumped out to a huge 15-6 lead and held on to complete the sweep. Oklahoma managed to cut the lead down to four points late but that was as close as they would get.
