AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2018)
Was an Academic All-Big 12 first team selection…inished the season 1-0 with one save and a 3.95 ERA in a team-high 32 appearances out of the bullpen…struck out 33 batters in 31.2 innings pitched…tossed a perfect inning on June 19 vs. Florida in the College World Series striking out one…made two scoreless, hitless appearances in the NCAA Super Regional…from April 2 to April 24, did not allow a run in 8.0 innings spanning nine appearances, allowing just five hits and four walks while fanning seven…did not allow an earned run over his first three appearances on the season…made his season debut on Feb 18 vs. Louisiana, tossed 2.1 hitless innings and striking out three…it was his first game on the mound for Texas since April 30, 2015, vs. Oklahoma State…named to the 2017 Fall Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

AS A JUNIOR (2016)
Earned a medical redshirt…made just six appearances on the season but did not allow any runs in his six innings of work … on the season, allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out 10 … faced four batters and fanned one on April 30 vs. Oklahoma State, his final appearance of the season and first since April 2 … earned his first career save on April 2 at Oklahoma, retiring the only batter he faced … made two appearances out of the bullpen against TCU, combining for two scoreless frames with five strikeouts in both Texas wins … struck out two in a scoreless frame on March 22 vs. UTSA … made his first appearance of the season on February 19 vs. UNLV and tossed two scoreless innings.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015)
Made 13 appearances, 11 of them starts … matched career highs in innings (five) and strikeouts (four) in a win vs. Texas State on April 21 … allowed two runs in the first inning of the game, but retired 13 of the next 14 batters to nab the win … made scoreless relief outings at Nebraska (2 IP) and Oklahoma State (4/5) … earned his second win of the season March 8 against Stanford, pitching five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits, while striking out one Cardinal … spun four scoreless frames in a start vs. San Diego on March 1 (game two), allowing three hits and one walk, while striking out three in a no decision … won his first game of 2015 in his second career start on February 21 (game one) against Minnesota after spinning five scoreless frames with four strikeouts, and allowing just three hits and one walk … made his first career start on the mound February 14 (game two) against Rice, tossing 4 1/3 innings … named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2014 fall semester.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
Went 1-0 with a 5.59 ERA, logging 9 2/3 innings on the year … had his best outing of the season at West Virginia on May 4, tossing three scoreless innings while allowing just two hits … picked up his first career win on February 18 against Texas A&M Corpus Christi when he hurled 2 2/3 shutout innings in relief while striking out four … recorded his first collegiate appearance against Cal on February 14 … named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2013 fall semester and the 2014 spring semester.

A four-year letterwinner in baseball at San Angelo Central High School … played both first base and pitcher … named All-West Texas Player of the Year and made first team all-state as a designated hitter his senior season … the District 2-5A MVP his senior season … named all-district first baseman (2012) and all-district pitcher (2011) … his senior season, pitched 69 innings with a 5-3 record and an ERA of 1.92 … named Academic All-State his senior year … member of the Young Life youth group.
