· Earned Honorable Mention All-America moniker at the NCAA Championships, finishing 15th in the consolation finals of the 100-yard backstroke (47.72).
· Finished 17th in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships (47.39)
· Finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (48.09) and third in both the 100-yard backstroke (48.63) and 200-yard butterfly (1:47.66) at the Big 12 Championships
· Member of two title winning relay teams at the Big 12 Championships, including the 200-yard medley relay (1:26.95) and 400-yard medley relay (3:12.63)

· Achieved All-America status in his first trip to the NCAA Championships, finishing seventh in the 100-yard butterfly (47.09)
· Earned Honorable Mention All-America honors with a 16th-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (48.41)
· Captured first Big 12 Conference title of his career as a member of Texas[apos] top-performing 400-yard medley relay that posted an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 3:12.14
· Added runner-up performances in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke with season-best times of 47.57 and 48.09, respectively, at the league meet
· Clocked in with the third-best time (1:46.58) in the 200-yard butterfly at the conference championships
· Posted NCAA provisional qualifying times in the 100-yard butterfly (47.87), 200-yard butterfly (1:47.83) and 100-yard backstroke (48.77) at the Texas Invite

· Member of Circle C Swimming under the direction of head coach Randy Reese
· Captured first three national titles of his career at the 2004 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Palo Alto, Calif. Earned first individual national title by winning the 100-meter butterfly (54.17). Joined former UT teammates Tyler O[apos]Halloran, Poston Pritchett and Garrett Weber-Gale to win the 400-meter freestyle relay with a time of 3:25.59. Then swam the lead-off backstroke split in 57.24, helping Longhorn Aquatics[apos] 400-meter medley relay squad of Rohleder, Christian Schurz, John Abercrombie and O[apos]Halloran turn in a winning time of 3:46.02
· Placed third in the 100-meter backstroke (57.17) and placed 22nd (2:04.63) in the 200-meter butterfly at the 2004 National Championships. Also turned in another third-place performance as a member of the 800-meter freestyle relay squad. Teamed with Maverick Smalley, Weber-Gale and future Texas teammate Michael Klueh to post a time of 7:41.45
· At the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, placed 10th in the 100-meter butterfly (54.36) and 16th in the 100-meter backstroke (57.21)
· Four-time USA Swimming Sectional Champion
· 2004 Junior National Team tri-captain that competed in Brisbane, Australia
