Despite battling injuries throughout her interscholastic career, Espinosa made quite an impression when healthy ... She hit .429 as a freshman starter at shortstop for Valor Christian with a 1.479 OPS, .920 slugging percentage, 34 hits, six doubles, two triples and a state of Colorado-leading 14 HR’s (team made the state semifinals) ...
