AS A JUNIOR (2020 COVID-19 SHORTENED SEASON)
Saw action in 24 games with two starts, hitting at a .313 clip (5-for-16) with nine runs scored, a double, five walks and five RBIs ... Scored a second-inning tally as a pinch runner during the 6-4 (8 inn.) upset win at No. 1 UCLA (Feb. 27) ... Knocked in two runs in consecutive contests against North Dakota State (Feb. 21) and Lipscomb (Feb. 22) at the Texas Invitational ... Blasted a double, walked and crossed the dish twice during the 18-2 (5 inn.) thrashing of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 9) ... Scored twice against Lamar (Feb. 7) and went 1-for-1 with a RBI single during the 12-3 (5 inn.) rout of Colorado State (Feb. 8).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2019)
Played in 43 total games with 21 starts, registering 15 runs scored, 14 hits, four extra-base hits, including two HR’s, 12 walks and eight RBIs ... Blasted a key game-tying solo HR to left during game two of the NCAA Tuscaloosa Super Regional as Texas rallied past No. 5 Alabama (May 24), 7-5, to force a deciding game ... Went 2-for-3 with a run scored in the series opener at Kansas (April 26) ... Managed hits in consecutive match-ups against No. 1 Oklahoma (April 19-20) ... Tripled in two runs in the 14-0 (5 inn.) blanking of BYU (March 15) at the Tennessee Invitational ... Was 2-for-2 with a HR, a career-high three runs scored, two walks, two steals and a RBI during the 15-2 (5 inn.) rout over Princeton (March 2) at the Sun Devil Classic in Tempe. Ariz. ... Helped lead her travel ball team, the Birmingham Thunderbolts 99, to third-place finishes at the 2015 & 2016 Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) Nationals.
BEFORE TEXAS
A product of Hoover, Ala., Tedder brought along a lofty softball resume to the Forty Acres from a distinguished interscholastic career at Spain Park H.S. ... Ranked as the No. 25 player in FloSoftball’s "Hot 100 2017 Softball Recruits," she completed her interscholastic career with a .433 batting average, 276 hits, 221 runs scored, 57 doubles, 17 triples, 36 HR’s, 214 RBIs, 32 stolen bases and 97 walks with a 1.249 OPS ... As a senior in 2017, Tedder helped lead Spain Park to a third-place state finish on the way to earning MaxPreps and Flo Softball First Team All-America, NFCA Second Team All-America, Alabama All-State 7A First Team and Super State First Team as well as Birmingham News All-Metro and Over the Mountain Player of the Year honors while also being a finalist for Gatorade State Player of the Year ... During a spectacular junior year in 2016, Tedder batted .455 overall with a school record 20 HR’s and 70 RBIs ... During that standout 2016 campaign, Tedder also managed 10 doubles, five triples, 66 hits, 48 runs scored, 25 walks and a 1.043 slugging mark while earning another sparkling list of accolades that included: 2016 NFCA Second-Team All-American, NFCA First-Team All-South Region, USA Today Second Team All-American, FloSoftball First-Team All-American, MaxPreps Player of the Year and First-Team Class 7A All-State and All-Super State honors as well as nods as the All-Metro and Over the Mountain Player of the Year and the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) Alabama 7A Player of the Year ... She was also a finalist for Gatorade Player of the Year honors and honored as Spain Park’s Wendy’s Heisman winner ... As a sophomore, Tedder was tabbed to the ASWA Second Team, to the NFCA All-Southeast Region squad and earned inclusions to the Birmingham News All-Metro and All-Shelby County squads ... Off the diamond, Tedder was a qualifier for state in cross country and a member of the state all-tournament team in bowling.

Full name is Mary Katherine Tedder ... Born May 4, 1999, in Birmingham, Ala. ... Daughter of Scott and LaDonna Tedder ... Has a sister Elizabeth ... Her father played professional baseball in the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox organizations (leading the Gulf Coast League in hitting at .341 in 1988) and also earned NCAA Division III National Player of the Year honors after averaging 29.0 PPG in helping Ohio Wesleyan to a national title (1988) ... Chose to attend Texas over a list of schools that included Alabama, Mississippi State and South Alabama.
