AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2020 COVID-19 SHORTENED SEASON)
Saw action in 17 games with 15 starts at either catcher or designated player, registering nine total hits, a double, a HR and eight RBIs ... Posted three multi-hit and three multi-RBI efforts ... Went a combined 4-for-5 with a double and a RBI over two victories against Liberty (March 6-7) ... Blasted a crucial two-run HR during the fourth inning of UT’s 6-4 (8 inn.) road upset of No. 1 UCLA (Feb. 27) ... Went 2-for-3 with two RBI singles as Texas defeated Lipscomb (Feb. 21), 12-0 (5 inn.) ... Started off the year by knocking in three runs without the benefit of a hit during the 10-2 (6 inn.), season-opening victory over Wichita State (Feb. 6).

Picked up NFCA First Team All-Central Region, All-Big 12 Conference First Team and Big 12 All-Freshman Team accolades after leading the Longhorns with a .394 batting average (fifth in the Big 12), tying for the top spot in slugging percentage (.508) and rating second in hits (52), RBIs (tied with 24) and total bases (67) over 44 games played (41 starts) ... Registered 16 multi-hit efforts last season, including a school record-tying 5-for-5 performance during a contest at Oklahoma State on March 26, and seven multi-RBI contests ... Reached base safely in 32 of her 44 games played and posted the longest hitting streak by a UT player at nine match-ups from April 13 at Texas Tech to April 28 at Kansas ... Hit .286 during her initial visit to the NCAA Tournament, including two hits and a RBI in an 8-0 (5 inn) rout of Texas Southern (May 20) ... Went 2-for-4 in her first postseason experience at the Big 12 Tournament as UT knocked off Texas Tech (May 12), 7-1 ... Batted .429 (6-for-14) with four runs scored during the three-game road sweep of Texas Tech (April 13-15) ... Made it consecutive games with a HR by going 3-for-4 with a solo shot and two RBIs in an 8-2 triumph at Loyola Marymount (March 14) ... Blasted her initial career HR and knocked in three during a 7-2 win over UTSA (March 8) ... TRAVEL BALL
During her travel ball career with the Texas Blaze Gold, she boasted a .397 combined batting average with 21 HR’s and 113 RBIs while helping guide her squad to a final No. 8 national travel ball ranking in 2016 with a ninth-place finish at the Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) Tournament in California, a runner-up placing at the Independence Day Tournament in Colorado and a 2016 Triple Crown Texas State and USA National Championship alongside current UT teammate Malory Schattle (New York).
BEFORE TEXAS
A three-year catcher for head coach Jessica Bond at Georgetown H.S. that skipped her senior season to enroll early at Texas, Ellsworth put up impressive career offensive numbers from 2014-16, batting .550 overall (120-for-218) with 21 HR’s and 107 RBIs ... During a standout 2016 senior season that saw her earn NFCA Second Team All-South Central Region, Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) First Team All-State, All-Central Texas First Team and both first team All-District 25-5A and District 25-5A Most Valuable Player honors, Ellsworth hit at a .537 clip (44-for-82) with a career-best eight HR’s and 45 RBIs ... As a junior in 2015, she batted .554 (46-for-83) with seven HR’s and 40 RBIs while being tabbed second team All-Central Texas, third team Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) All-State and first team All-District 25-5A as well as the District 25-5A Defensive Most Valuable Player.
