AS A SENIOR (2020 COVID-19 SHORTENED SEASON)
Rated second on the Texas squad with a .457 batting average (21-for-46) to go along with seven runs, five doubles and 11 RBIs over 20 games played (17 starts) ... Doubled twice and knocked in the eventual winning run during the fourth inning of the 2-0 win over Liberty (March 6) ... Was 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs in the 10-0 (5 inn.) rout of North Dakota State (Feb. 21) and 2-for-2 with a RBI during the 9-4 triumph over Weber State (Feb. 23) ... Knocked in one as part of a 1-for-3 effort in the 4-1 victory over Ole Miss (Feb. 15) ... Went 2-for-2 in wins over Utah (Feb. 14) and No. 12 Tennessee (Feb. 14) at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge (Feb. 13-15) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico ... She led the squad during conference games only by posting a .356 mark with seven extra-base hits and a team-best 14 RBIs ... Managed 10 multi-hit and 11 multi-RBI efforts ... Registered a nine-game hitting streak from April 19 against Oklahoma to May 10 against Iowa State ... Blasted a solo HR to give Texas a 1-0, fifth-inning lead and later added another RBI as the Horns secured the NCAA Austin Regional title behind a 7-0 rout of Houston (May 19) ... BEFORE TEXAS
In three impressive seasons of softball at Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, Washington earned third-team 2014 Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers (TXSWA) All-State honors, a second-team 2014 All-Greater Houston area selection, and three first-team All-District 13-5A accolades in 2013, 2014 & 2015 while hitting .415 overall with 98 career RBIs ... During her senior campaign, Washington batted .381 with a .440 on-base mark and 13 doubles ... As a junior in 2015, she hit .500 overall with a .528 on base percentage and 44 RBIs, while as a sophomore she registered a .407 clip with 40 RBIs and a .500 on-base mark.

Plans to major in sports psychology in hopes of becoming a sports psychologist for a pro sports team ... Chose to attend Texas over Alabama, Sam Houston State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi ... Cites doing Crossfit as one of her favorite hobbies ... Was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis) at the age of 13 but with treatment has been able to continue playing softball.
