Played in 23 games with seven starts ... Managed five hits, five walks, four runs scored and two RBIs ... Scored as a pinch runner during the 8-0 (5 inn.) NCAA Regional rout of Texas Southern (May 20) ... Singled during match-ups against Louisiana Tech (February 18), at No. 6 Arizona (March 4) and at Texas Tech (April 13 & 15) ... Picked up her first career hit, run and RBI on a fifth-inning single during the 7-2, Texas Classic win over Colorado State (February 12).
TRAVEL BALL
Played summer ball for the Texas Blaze 18-U Gold Slimp (alongside UT teammate Taylor Ellsworth), helping her squad to 2016 Triple Crown Texas State and Triple Crown/USA National 18-U Gold championships, a runner-up finish at the 2016 IDT Boulder 18-U event and a ninth-place finish at the 2016 Premier Girls Fastpitch 18-U Nationals.

A standout softball and volleyball player at Salado High School, Schattle heads to the Forty Acres with a slew of accolades in tow ... Schattle was a 2016 Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association (TXSWA) Second Team All-State choice and a two-time honorable mention selection (2014, 2015), the 2016 Killeen Daily Herald All-Area Offensive Most Valuable Player and a 2015 first team infielder and the newspaper’s 2013 Newcomer of the Year, both a first-team All-District 22-2A (2013) and first-team All-District 25-4A (2015, 2016) shortstop and was named the All-District 22-2A Most Valuable Player in 2014 ... As a sophomore in 2014, she earned Killeen Daily Herald All-Area Offensive MVP honors after hitting .591 overall with an on-base percentage of .645, 10 HR’s and 75 RBIs in 151 at-bats while helping Salado reach the state’s elite eight for the first time in school history ... Schattle entered her senior campaign batting at a .527 overall clip with 149 hits, 43 doubles, 20 triples, 17 HR’s, 55 walks, 139 RBIs and just 21 strikeouts over 283 total at-bats while slugging 1.000 and registering a .602 on-base percentage ... Off the diamond, she picked up 2015 & 2016 first-team All-District 25-4A selections for her prowess on the volleyball court.
