Batted .281 (27-for-96) with 14 runs scored, nine doubles, a triple, a HR and 24 RBIs over 42 games played (33 starts) ... Managed five multi-hit and seven multi-RBI efforts ... Reached base safely in 25 of 42 contests and posted a career-long six-game hitting streak from April 14 at Texas Tech to April 28 at Kansas ... Blasted her lone HR of the campaign (solo shot) to grant UT the lead during the fourth inning of a 3-0 shutout of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (May 3) ... Knocked in two runs in victories over both Iowa State (April 22) and at Kansas (April 28) ... Registered a RBI and scored while going 1-for-2 at the plate in the 15-2 (5 inn.) rout of Iowa State (May 6) ... Walked and went 1-for-2 in the 6-0 shutout of Texas Southern (April 27) ... Managed a sacrifice fly in the third inning of the 8-0 (5 inn.) rout of UTEP (April 5) ... Delivered a tone-setting two-RBI double during the 5-0 victory in game one of a doubleheader sweep of BYU (April 2) ... Blasted her first HR of the season, a two-run inside-the-park effort, during the fourth inning of the 6-5 loss at No. 20 Baylor (March 26) ... Posted four hits, including a home run and four RBIs while hitting safely in each of the three games during the sweep of Oklahoma State (May 1-3) ... Recorded a double in two of three games in the series against Iowa State (April 18-19) ... Set a career-high for single game RBIs (five), hits (three), and home runs (two), while also blasting her first career grand slam in the 8-0 run-rule victory over UT-Arlington (April 15) ... Was 3-for-5 in the opener (March 14 - Texas won 8-7, 9 inn.) and 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and a RBI in the 11-2 rout (March 15) during the three-game series at Arkansas ... Knocked in a run against North Carolina (March 6) and registered her first career triple during the 5-0 blanking of Charlotte (March 7) at the Carolina Classic ... Batted .333 during the Texas Invitational, starting all five contests (four at third, one at catcher) and playing the role of heroine with a walk-off double to down Dartmouth, 1-0 (February 27) ... Hit her first career HR during the 5-3 win over Texas Southern (February 27) and went 2-for-3 with a double and a career-best three RBIs as UT shutout Texas Southern in the rematch, 4-0 (March 1) ... Was 1-for-2 with her first collegiate extra-base hit (double) and a run scored during the 12-0 (5 inn.) romp over IPFW (February 13) ... BEFORE TEXAS
In four seasons as a catcher and outfielder at California softball power Santiago High School under John Perez, Leahy batted .362 overall (129-for-356) over 126 career games with 127 runs scored, 51 extra-base hits, including a staggering 31 HR’s, 72 walks and 106 RBIs while totaling a .505 on-base percentage and a .682 slugging mark for a 1.188 OPS ... During her senior campaign, Leahy, a 2014 third team Cal-Hi Sports All-State selection, hit .376 with 31 tallies, 10 doubles, six HR’s and 23 RBIs ... As a junior and first team All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) choice, Leahy helped lead her squad on an unbeaten run to the 2013 CIF Division I Southern Section title (winning 8-2 over Norco to avenge a loss in the 2012 final) and a No. 19 final ranking in the 2013 MaxPreps National High School Softball Poll .. She earned first-team catcher honors on the 2013 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Softball Underclass Team in the process ... Leahy was chosen to the 2012 All-CIF Division I Southern Section First Team and to the 2012 MaxPreps Underclass All-American softball team as a sophomore after hitting a career-high .392 with 31 runs scored, 15 extra-base hits, including nine HR’s and 41 RBIs.
