AUSTIN, Texas—Behind seven strong innings from Blair Henley and 10 hits from the offense, Texas Baseball (22-12, 9-3 Big 12) finished the series sweep of Baylor (14-16, 3-9) with a 4-1 win on Sunday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Texas got on the board first and never trailed in the ballgame. In the opening frame, Tate Shaw drew a leadoff walk before Kody Clemens drove him in with an RBI single. Designated hitter Zach Zubia then followed with his sixth homer of the season to put Texas up, 3-0, after one.

Baylor added a solo homer in the top of the second, but that would be all the damage for the Bears off of Texas pitching on the day. Henley (5-3) was strong over seven-plus innings for the Longhorns. The sophomore allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out four. His biggest strikeout of the ballgame came in the seventh when, with runners on second and third and two outs, Henley got Josh Bissonette swinging on a full count to eliminate the Baylor threat.

The Longhorns picked up another run in the eighth thanks to a David Hamilton walk and a DJ Petrinsky RBI double.

With a 4-1 lead, redshirt-junior Josh Sawyer (1) went back to the mound for the ninth inning and shut the door on the Bears for his first save of the season and second of his career.

Zubia, Jake McKenzie, and Petrinsky each added two hits in the game, while Masen Hibbeler, Clemens, Andy McGuire, and Duke Ellis each tallied a knock.

The Longhorns hit the road on Tuesday for a midweek game at Texas A&M before heading to Norman, Okla., for a three-game Big 12 Conference series against No. 20 Oklahoma.
