STILLWATER, Okla. – Texas gave up a five-run sixth inning and Oklahoma State cruised to a 10-2 win on Friday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

The Longhorns (24-17, 5-8 Big 12) were down just 3-0 halfway through the game before the big sixth inning provided the Cowboys with some cushion

Oklahoma State got out to a first-inning lead for the second-straight day, using a two-out two-run double to take a 2-0 lead. Texas starter Blair Henley was able to leave the bases loaded to end the first inning.

Texas had a great opportunity to score in the third after Lance Ford singled and moved to second on an error with nobody out. A strikeout and two fielder's choice groundouts ended the inning with no damage done.

The Cowboys upped their lead to 3-0 with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.

The Longhorns had another big chance in the sixth inning, putting runners on the corners with one out after a double by Austin Todd and an infield single by Masen Hibbeler. A strike out and caught stealing ended the inning with no runs across.

Oklahoma State put the game away with two homers in the sixth inning to go up 8-0. Two more runs came home in the eighth to make it 10-0.

Texas scored two runs in the ninth on a two-run single by Eric Kennedy.
