No. 14 Baseball drops series finale to Oklahoma

The Longhorns will close out their five-game homestand against Texas Southern on Tuesday.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 14 Texas Baseball dropped the series finale to Oklahoma, 6-4, and were swept by the Sooners on Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (27-15, 8-7) will close out their five-game homestand on Tuesday against Texas Southern.
Lebarron Johnson Jr. pitched five innings of relief and only allowed one unearned run. He struck out six batters and allowed just three hits.
Oklahoma scored a couple of runs in the top of the first to take an early 2-0 lead.
Texas got a run back in the bottom half after Dylan Campbell doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Peyton Powell to make the score 2-1.
The Sooners made the lead 5-1 with a three-run homer in the top of the second.
The Longhorns scratched out another run in the third on a two-out infield single by Porter Brown to trail 5-2. Texas was unable to get more after leaving the bases loaded.
Mitchell Daly hit a solo home run out to left field in the fourth inning to trim the Oklahoma lead to 5-3.
The Longhorns scratched out an unearned run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Brown to trim the lead to 5-4.
Oklahoma scored a run on a passed ball in the top of the seventh to extend their lead to 6-4.
