Longhorn Nation,
It was a gritty, hard-fought, Southeastern Conference victory in enemy territory Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville. Those Razorbacks were determined, tenacious and laser focused on pulling off the upset, but our Longhorns weren't having it. Coach Sark and our squad packed our defense, running game and plenty of Texas Fight in putting it on our renewed rivals, 20-10, and extending the nation's longest road winning streak to 10. What a scene it was in the foothills of the Ozarks as Y'ALL PACKED THEIR HOUSE, cheered your hearts out, flashed those Hook 'Em, Horns, in a Burnt Orange takeover of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Together, we triumphantly belted out The Eyes of Texas as one to close out an awesome day of football (then there was the always glorious traditional victory rendition of Texas Fight in the locker room)! But wait, there's more! There were victories aplenty for our Longhorns last week as Soccer survived and advanced in the NCAA Tourney, Women's Cross Country punched its ticket to the NCAA Championship, Volleyball planted the flag in Alabama defeating Auburn and Bama, and Men's and Women's Basketball took care of business as well. All we do is win folks and we're so fortunate to have you along for the ride!

ON THE NATIONAL STAGE, Coach Kelly and our SEC Champion Soccer squad stampeded into the NCAA Tourney Round of 32 with a 4-1 win over Boston University in front of a fired-up Longhorn crowd at Mike A. Myers Stadium last Friday. Now it's on to North Carolina — and Duke University — for a matchup with No. 16 Michigan State on Friday (3 p.m. CT/ESPN+) as we take dead aim on a spot in the Sweet Sixteen for the second year in a row (something we haven't done since 2006-07). Meanwhile on Friday at the NCAA Cross Country South Central Regional in College Station, our women's squad raced to a runner-up finish, earning its spot in this week's NCAA Championships on Saturday morning in Madison, Wisc. On the heels of a pair of top-10 finishers (Olivia Howell, 5th; Elizabeth Picket, 8th), we came up just one point shy of the regional title. On men's side, though the team didn't advance, Isaac Alonzo did qualify for nationals as an individual with a fourth-place finish. Chilly Midwest weather is in the forecast but here's to our Horns heating up the course and finishing the season strong. With a bit of a wrinkle in the Tennis schedule this year (splitting the NCAA team and individual championships between the fall and spring seasons), we've got the NCAA Men's and Women's Singles and Doubles Championships going down in Waco this week, too. Good luck to our Horns at NCAA Soccer, Cross Country, and Tennis this week!
can't wait to see Longhorn Nation in North Carolina 🤘

As for our No. 3-ranked Football squad, we're 9-1, atop the SEC Standings at 5-1 and back home for a LONGHORN PARTY AT DKR-TEXAS MEMORIAL STADIUM versus Kentucky (2:30 p.m. CT/ABC) on Saturday. It's Senior Day to boot and what a special group we have to honor as well. SEC Network's traveling show, SEC Nation, and Marty & McGee will be broadcasting live from Hook 'Em Hangout in Winship Circle (8-11 a.m. CT) and shining the spotlight on the Forty Acres for the first time. We're hitting the stretch run of the regular season, have our eyes on the prize and are on a roll. Fresh off the College Football Playoff Rankings that will be announced tonight, we'll be looking to notch a 10th victory for a second-straight year (that would be the first time since 2008-09 for consecutive double-digit wins seasons), so get that Burnt Orange-best ready, join us for all the pregame festivities and let's bring the heat to tame those Wildcats!

There's plenty of other sports action on tap as fresh off three-straight wins at Moody Center, Coach Terry and Men's Basketball is off to Brooklyn for the UKG Legend Classic presented by Old Trapper later this week beginning with traditional power Syracuse on Thursday night (6 p.m. CT/ESPN2). Coach Schaefer and No. 4 Women's Basketball opened the season 3-0 as well with a pair of victories at Moody Center and a road win at DePaul on Sunday night. Next up it's Tarleton State on Wednesday at Moody Center (11 a.m. CT/SEC Network+). That's our annual 40 Acres Field Trip where we open the doors to elementary and middle school students across Central Texas and what a blast it is!
Coach Elliott and Volleyball took Alabama by storm this weekend, sweeping Auburn on Friday and Alabama on Sunday in front of a national television audience on ESPN (with a special shoutout to our very own superstar Madisen Skinner) to stay right in the thick of the SEC Championship race. The gyms are always full when our two-time defending National Champions take the court, and it was no different this weekend as we played in front of raucous & record crowds at both stops. Our road warriors will close out a four-match road swing with a trip to Norman and a Red River Rivalry on Friday night (6 p.m. CT/SEC Network+), as we look to avenge a home loss to the Sooners earlier this year. That will be our final regular season road match as we look forward to returning home to the friendly confines of The Greg against Tennessee (Nov. 27) and Ole Miss (Nov. 30) to finish things off before the postseason.
I hope y'all are getting a chance to catch Coach Sark's Longhorn Weekly show each week. Last week, we had an extra special guest with Longhorn Legend Ricky Williams in the house. It was a wonderful visit filled with many great memories and a must-watch, so check it out on Longhorn Network. This week's episode will be recorded Wednesday at Pluckers, airing first on AM 1300 The Zone on Thursday (7 p.m. CT) and then run as a simulcast on Longhorn Network and locally on KBVO later in the week. It continues through basketball season and is definitely worth checking out!
Awesome having our guy @Rickthelaureate in town as our special guest on Longhorn Weekly w/@CoachSark! Show airs tonight on @am1300thezone & LRN (7 pm CT). Also will be available on @LonghornNetwork and Sat. in Austin (KBVO). Shoutout to @universitycoop for helping gear Ricky up🤘🏻 pic.twitter.com/MO5ulC2ESU

Football makes Arkansas see red
It was a beautiful day in the hills of Arkansas as we renewed our longstanding rivalry with the Razorbacks as conference foes. Coach Sark and our squad were up and ready to go for a morning start for the second week in a row and emerged with a 20-10 road victory to move us on to 9-1 this season! Let's start with that awesome performance by the defense, holding a prolific Arkansas offense to about half of what they were averaging coming in total offense (just 231), passing yards (149) and rushing yards (82). Whoa! With Jahdae leading the way, Big Alfred reaching full extension, and the sacks racking up from the likes of Barryn Sorrell, the youngster Colin Simmons, and Trey Moore, the D put up a goose egg in the first half and went on to make sure the Razorbacks never held a lead. The offense got that lead with Matthew being Golden once again to the tune of two TDs from Quinn, and then we had five other guys catch at least three passes, topped out by 007 with his four. The ground game was doing its part, as well, with Blue and Wisner putting up 142 yards! But what might have been the most impressive part of the day for the O was getting behind that O-line with 6:55 to go in the game and not letting the Razorbacks touch that ball again. Let me tell you, I don't know that there are many things more satisfying for an offense than putting a game away like that! And let's not leave out those special teams that held it down in the return game, while Bert Auburn was knockin' it through the uprights for a pair of clutch field goals. I don't know if you've heard me say this word much this year, oh wait, I've said it A LOT, but – complementary! That's how you end up with Burnt Orange all over the weekly SEC awards, so a huge shout out to Jahdae as co-defensive player of the week, Alfred as the defensive lineman of the week, and Hayden Conner as the co-offensive lineman of the week! I know those three would do nothing but credit their teammates as they should, but way to go gents! Like Coach Sark said at his press conference, this team truly has fun playing football together, and that's what you love to see! Now it's back to the friendly confines of DKR this week, and we can't wait to have you all there to be loud and proud and help us take on Kentucky (2:30 p.m. CT/ABC)! Not to mention helping us celebrate a spectacular group of seniors that's helped lay the foundation of the culture and success of right now! We'll see you there!

Men's Basketball heads to Brooklyn for Legends Classic on Thursday and Friday!
RT and the guys claimed a pair of dominant home victories last week. On Tuesday night in The Mood, our must-see freshman star Tre Johnson led five players in double-figure scoring with 19 points as the Longhorns took care of business in a 105-58 win against Chicago State. I definitely need to give some love to Ze'Rik Onyema, or as I call him Big Z, who posted his Texas career high with 18 points. Then after Football's win in Fayetteville, the guys made it a Saturday sweep with an 89-43 victory over Mississippi Valley State. Five players again were in double figures in scoring, as Arthur Kaluma led the way with 18 points. And congrats to junior Jordan Pope, who reached the 1,000-point mark in his collegiate career in the win. Now sporting a three-game winning streak, the guys will head to Brooklyn to compete in the four-team UKG Legends Classic in Barclays Center on Thursday and Friday. First up on the schedule will be a matchup against Syracuse on Thursday night (6 p.m. CT/7 p.m. ET/ESPN2), before the Longhorns face either Saint Joseph's or Texas Tech on Friday (6 or 8:30 p.m. CT/7 or 9:30 p.m. ET/ESPNU). To all of our NYC Texas Exes, make plans to get to Barclays Center and cheer on RT and the guys!

Women's Basketball is 3-0 and back home on Wednesday morning!
Coach Schaefer and our No. 4-ranked Women's Basketball team also earned a pair of wins last week and improved to 3-0 on the season. After posting a 95-58 victory over Lamar in The Mood on Wednesday, the Longhorns headed to the Windy City and earned a 91-61 win at DePaul on Sunday night. Taylor Jones was a monster inside against DePaul with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while All-American point guard Rori Harmon did her thing by dishing out nine assists. It was great to see newcomer Laila Phelia in just her second game in the Burnt Orange reach double figures in scoring with 10 points, and our balanced attack featured 11 different players in the scoring column. The Longhorns are back home in The Mood this Wednesday morning for our annual 40 Acres Field Trip game against Tarleton State (11 a.m. CT/SEC Network+). We'll open the doors for Kindergarten through eighth-graders in Central Texas to expose them to college athletics and a visit to our beautiful campus in encouragement of young students who wish to pursue higher education. You can get your tickets here for Wednesday's game and cheer on the Longhorns!

Ward's historic night sends Soccer into the NCAA Round of 32!
Talk about a huge individual performance on the biggest stage! How about FOUR goals from Holly Ward to lead our Longhorns to an emphatic 4-1 win over Boston University last Friday night in the NCAA First Round. Take a well-deserved bow, Holly, as you're the first player in our program's proud history to score four goals in a single NCAA Tournament match. And we can't say 'thank you' enough for the support from Longhorn Nation, as 2,342 of you came out to Mike A. Myers Stadium to cheer on our ladies. Coach Kelly and our group continues their postseason journey when they head to Durham, N.C., where top-seed Duke will host the NCAA Second and Third Rounds later this week. If you're close to the Research Triangle, make your plans now to get to Durham and support the Longhorns in person when we face No. 16 Michigan State in a Round of 32 match on Friday (3 p.m. CT/4 p.m. ET/ESPN+). If we can pull out a win over the Spartans, we'll move on to the Sweet 16 and play either Duke or Texas Tech on Sunday with the start time and television info to be determined. It's all about Survive-and-Advance at this time of the year, so let's keep advancing!

Volleyball earns pair of road sweeps in the state of Alabama!
Coach Elliott and our ladies took a weekend trip to the state of Alabama and picked up a pair of sweeps while helping set attendance records in the process. Every time our Longhorns head on the road, fans from all over flock to the gyms and arenas in record numbers and last weekend was no different. First off, Texas took down Auburn on Friday night in front of the Tigers' largest volleyball crowd ever of 3,940 fans. Madisen Skinner was absolutely electric as usual with 23 kills in the victory. On Sunday, the Longhorns helped Alabama set their attendance record with 3,800 fans while earning another three-set sweep. Texas will stay away from home this week for the final regular-season road match at Oklahoma on Friday (6 p.m. CT/SEC Network+).

Women's Cross Country and Alonzo advance to NCAA Championship meet!
With a ticket to the NCAA Cross Country Championships on the line, our Women's team got it done by earning an automatic bid to the national meet for the sixth time in the last 10 seasons! The Longhorns placed second at the NCAA South Central Regional meet on Friday morning up the road in College Station, finishing with 81 points – just one behind regional champ Arkansas at 80 points. Congrats to the quartet of Olivia Howell (fifth), Elizabeth Pickett (eighth), Eva Jess (13th) and Sydni Wilkins (23rd), who all earned All-South Central Region honors by finishing in the top-25 in the individual standings. On the men's side, senior Isaac Alonzo continued his incredible season by finishing fourth overall behind three Razorbacks to earn an individual spot at the NCAA Championships. Alonzo finished the 10K in a time of 29:12.9, eclipsing his previous best he set last season by six seconds. Now it's a quick turnaround and trip to Madison, Wisc., for the 2024 NCAA Championship on Saturday (8:30 a.m. CT/ESPNU). Good luck to Isaac and the Longhorn Women at the national meet!

The men were led by Nick Harris' third-place results on both 1-meter and 3-meter, while Tanner Braunton finished fourth on platform. The women were paced by a pair of runner-up performances by Hailey Hernandez on 1-meter and Bayleigh Cranford on 3-meter, while freshman Taylor Fox debuted on platform and finished fourth with 282.05 points.
