HIGH SCHOOL
· A four-year varsity letterwinner in baseball as a shortstop for Coach Jeff Hultberg at Boise (Idaho) High School.
· Batted a career-best .415 during his senior season along with five triples and 45 RBI.
· Selected as a second-team Rawlings All-American and all-conference as a senior.
· Batted .400 with two home runs and 40 RBI as a junior to earn all-conference.
· Hit .300 with two home runs as a sophomore to earn all-conference.
· Batted .330 with two home runs as a freshman for the Braves.
· Also earned one varsity letter in basketball at the guard position
· Named to the Boise High School honor roll for three years and awarded the Whitenberger Award of Excellence.
· Helped guide his summer baseball team, the Boise Bucks coached by his father, Bill Buckner, to a 25-10 record while batting .310 with 50 hits.
