2007 SEASON
· Played in all 63 games for the Longhorns as a sophomore, including 62 starts - 60 in leftfield and two in centerfield.
· Ranked fourth on the team with a .332 batting average and .440 on-base percentage.
· Added 17 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 38 RBI.
· Led Texas with 17 doubles and 47 walks.
· Ranked second on the team in runs (63) and stolen bases (19).
· Ranked third on the team in both multi-hit games (23) and multi-RBI games (11) and posted a season-best seven-game hit streak for the year.
· Was successful on 19-of-19 stolen base attempts to set a UT record for most swipes in a season without getting caught.
· Posted 118 putouts and four assists without an error for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
· Batted .314 (32-for-102) with 23 runs, five doubles, one triple, three home runs, 15 RBI and five stolen bases in Big 12 Conference play.
· Hit .387 (12-for-31) with 10 runs, two doubles, two triples, three RBI and three stolen bases in seven postseason games.
2007 HIGHLIGHTS
· Started season going 3-for-9 with two runs and two RBI in first two games against San Diego (2/3-4).
· Scored two runs and stole two bases in win over UT Arlington (2/6).
· Went 3-for-5 with one double and two RBI in loss to Long Beach State (2/10).
· Hit 3-for-5 with two doubles and three runs in 19-0 win over UT Pan American (2/13).
· Batted .556 (5-for-9) with five runs, three doubles, one home run and two RBI in final two games against Stanford (2/17-18), including 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, one home run and two RBI in the finale.
· Went 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI in win over Washington State (2/24).
· Drew three walks and added two runs and two RBI in win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/6).
· Went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI in win over Winthrop (3/14).
· Batted .400 (4-for-10) with four walks and four runs in series vs. Kansas State (3/23-25).
· Went 6-for-11 with three runs and two stolen bases in series vs. Oklahoma (3/30-4/1).
· Hit .556 (5-for-9) with two doubles, one triple and three runs in final two games at Kansas (4/6-7).
· Batted .500 (5-for-10) with four runs, four walks, one home run and four RBI in series sweep of Texas A&M (5/18-20).
· Hit .583 (7-for-12) to earn Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team honors, including going 3-for-3 with three walks, four runs and two RBI against Kansas State (5/23).
· Went 4-for-11 with two runs, one double and one triple against Wake Forest and UC Irvine on the final day of the NCAA Regional action (6/3).
· Spent the summer playing for the U.S. National Team and helped the squad earn a silver medal at the Pan American Games in Brazil.
· Playing in a team-high 35 games, he led Team USA with 37 runs with four doubles, two triples, two home runs, five stolen bases and 12 RBI.
· Ended tour with a seven-game hit streak and earned Rookie of the World Port Tournament honors after hitting .419 and leading the tournament with a .500 on-base percentage over eight games.

2006 SEASON
· Texas[apos] fourth-leading hitter overall (.319) while having started 32 (15 in left field, 11 as a designated hitter and six in right field) of his 37 games.
· Tied the UT freshman record for triples with a team-best five, which also tied him for seventh among conference players.
· Owned 31 runs scored to go along with 21 RBI, seven steals in seven attempts, two home runs and seven doubles. Also held .517 slugging and .429 on-base marks, which were both good for third on the club.
· Tied for third on the team with 22 walks and fourth with seven steals.
· Registered nine multi-hit games and five multi-RBI outings as well as a career-best, seven-game hit streak. Also tallied two game-winning RBI and drove in nine runs with two outs on the year.
· Batted .317 (19-for-60) with runners on base and .306 (11-for-36) with
runners in scoring position during the season.
· Went a combined 14-for-38 during his 12 games and 10 starts in Big 12 play en route to posting the club[apos]s second-best league average (.368).
· Placed among the top six on the team for slugging (.684 - 1st), on-base percentage (.490 - 2nd), runs scored (15 - 5th), doubles (4 - t6th), triples (1 - t2nd) and stolen bases (4 - t4th) during conference action.
2006 HIGHLIGHTS
· Collected his first collegiate hit with a triple at San Diego (2/4) prior to registering his first career multi-hit outing with a 2-for-5 effort that included two runs scored and a RBI against UT Pan American (2/8).
· Drove in a pair of runs at No. 11 Stanford (2/18).
· Went 2-for-4 with three runs scored versus Villanova (2/26).
· Tallied four RBI to go along with five runs scored and a .571 batting average (8-for-14) over Texas[apos] three-game series at UNLV (3/3-5) while notching a four-hit as well as a three-hit outing during the final two contests against the Rebels.
· Fell a home run short of hitting for the cycle against Oklahoma State (3/24) by going 3-for-5 with three runs scored during the series opener.
· Went a combined 5-for-9 with three runs scored, two RBI, one double, a stolen base and his first two career home runs during a doubleheader at Kansas State (4/8).
· Hit .444 (4-for-9) with six runs scored, a pair of doubles, three RBI and two steals over a three-game series with No. 19 Baylor (4/13-15).
· Suffered a fractured right ankle during the finale with the Bears (4/15) and underwent surgery.
· Returned to action by starting as the team[apos]s designated hitter against UT-Arlington (6/2) during NCAA Regional Tournament play and picked up a hit in his first start in almost two months.
· Played summer ball for the Beatrice Bruins of the M.I.N.K. League under the direction of head coach Bob Steinkamp.
· Led the Bruins with a .394 batting average and added 34 runs, 32 RBI, eight doubles, seven home runs and 11 stolen bases.
HIGH SCHOOL
· Four-year letterwinner as a centerfielder for Coach John Langerhans[apos] Round Rock (Texas) High School baseball team.
· Captained the Dragons in baseball during the 2005 season and in
basketball during the 2004 campaign.
· A two-time All-CenTex, all-state and All-District 15-5A performer who was also twice named the District 14-5A Player of the Year as well as the Round Rock High School Baseball MVP (2004-05).
· Boasted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage and batted .508 with 21 home runs, 74 RBI, 91 runs scored, 72 walks and only 15 strikeouts over his final two seasons.
· Selected as a 2005 Baseball America Preseason High School All-American and tabbed the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game MVP.
· Logged a career-high 39 RBI with 42 runs, 18 steals and batted .486 overall as a senior en route to earning Central Texas and Gatorade Texas Player of the Year honors and being named a finalist for the 2005 Baseball America Player of the Year Award.
· Also accounted for 12 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs out of his 36 hits in 2005 as he was chosen to the National High School Baseball Coaches Association All-District Team and garnered All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger, EA Sports and Mizuno.
· Set the Round Rock High School single-season batting record previously held by current Atlanta Braves outfielder Ryan Langerhans (.512) with a .530 average in 2004. Also scored 49 runs while tallying 35 RBI, 18 steals, a career-high 11 home runs, 12 doubles and four triples over 31 tilts as a junior.
· Named to the 2004 AFLAC All-American Team as well as the Texas Junior Sunbelt squad following his junior year.
· Crowned the 2004 AFLAC All-American Classic Home Run Derby Champion and was awarded his honor by Cal Ripken, Jr.
· Joined his brother, John, in helping the Dragons reach the state championship with a 36-5 overall record as a sophomore in 2003.
· Chosen in the 19th round (No. 575 overall) of the Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year Player Draft by the Chicago White Sox.
· Garnered three letters as a forward on Coach Curtis Knight[apos]s basketball team.
· Earned All-District 5A honors in basketball during the 2004 campaign.
· Recipient of a 2005 Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman Award while also being named to the A-B Honor Roll during his senior year.
· Member of the Hyde Park Baptist Youth Choir, Cotillion and the Baseball Buddies Program with Bluebonnet Elementary School. Also awarded the Hyde Park Baptist Church Timothy Award in 2003 and a Round Rock High School Leadership Award in 2005.
· Chosen as Round Rock High School[apos]s 2005 Homecoming King.
· Patrolled right field for head coach Bob Steinkamp[apos]s Beatrice (Neb.) Bruins during the summer of 2005 and helped the club compile a 24-16 record as he ranked second on the team in batting (.374), slugging (.582), RBI (21), home runs (4) and stolen bases (15). Also scored 15 runs to go along with three doubles, two triples, 34 total hits and a .471 on-base percentage for the Bruins.
· Aided the Texas Sunbelt Team in winning the 2005 Sunbelt Classic title prior to joining the Beatrice Bruins during the summer of 2005.

Born Jordan Cooper Danks on Aug. 7, 1986, in Austin, Texas ... parents are John and Renee Danks ... has an older brother, John, and a younger sister, Emily ... his father, John, graduated from UT and played basketball for the Horns from 1976-80 ... his brother, John, is a left-handed pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and who was selected in the first round of the 2003 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Texas Rangers ... majoring in corporate communication ... has spent three semesters on the Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
