Served as a backup catcher during each of the past two seasons and will again contend for playing time there in 2008 ... rated as one of the top 15 high school players in the state of Texas in 2004 ... an athletic catcher with a strong arm ... also expected to see at-bats as a designated hitter.
JUNIOR (2007)
2007 SEASON
· Appeared in five games, including one start as a junior.
· Hit .400 (2-for-5) and posted a .625 on-base percentage with two runs, two doubles and one RBI on the season.
2007 HIGHLIGHTS
· Went 1-for-1 with one double, one hit-by-pitch and two runs scored off the bench against UT Pan American (2/13).
· Went 1-for-2 with one double and one walk against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/6) in his lone start of the season.
· Played catcher for the Coppell Copperheads of the Texas Collegiate League under the direction of head coach Heath Autry.
· Hit .400 in six games for the Copperheads.

2006 SEASON
· Appeared in seven games as a pinch-hitter and scored one run.
2006 HIGHLIGHTS
· Played for the Weatherford Wranglers of the Texas Collegiate League under the direction of head coach Jeff Lightfoot.
· Appeared in 22 games for the Wranglers, logging four runs, two doubles, five RBI and five stolen bases.
FRESHMAN (2005)
2005 SEASON
· Started six, including two in Big 12 play, of his 13 games behind the plate.
· Batted .208 with five runs scored and three RBI in limited action.
2005 HIGHLIGHTS
· Made his first career start at catcher versus UT-Pan American (2/9).
· Went 2-for-4 with a triple versus Texas State (4/27).
· Posted two hits and two RBI versus UT-Pan American (5/3).
· Blasted the first home run of his career and drove in a career-best two runs versus Oklahoma State (5/25) during Big 12 Tournament action.
· Batted .234 with 18 runs scored, 15 RBI and four steals over the summer for head coach Bill Pintard[apos]s Santa Barbara Foresters to help the club compile a 51-10 record and claim the California Collegiate League title.
HIGH SCHOOL
· Earned three letters in baseball and football at Westwood High School (2001-04).
· Caught and patrolled the outfield for head coach Bart Bratcher[apos]s Warriors over three seasons.
· Aided Westwood in claiming district as well as area titles as both a sophomore and junior. Also helped the Warriors win the Region II title and reach the state semifinals in 2002 behind a 24-6 record and make it to the Region II quarterfinals in 2003.
· Helped Westwood freshmen team in posting an 18-4 record by hitting .387 with 11 runs scored, 12 RBI and 24 hits.
· Hit .282 during his first year at the varsity level in 2002 while scoring six runs, driving in 14 more and having six of his 11 hits go for extra bases.
· Collected 30 hits, including a career-high 13 doubles and two home runs, en route to posting a .265 average, scoring 19 runs and tallying 17 RBI as a junior.
· Selected to participate in the Area Code games during the summer of 2003 while playing for head coach Andrew Pratex[apos]s Austin Baseball Club.
· Named an all-district catcher and to both the Hill Country News[apos] Dazzling Dozen and the Austin Area Coaches All-Star Team in 2004 after batting .307 with 11 runs scored, 22 RBI, seven doubles and four home runs.
· A linebacker for head coaches Mike Spradlin (2001-02) and Doug Firtch (2003) at Westwood who led District 14-5A in tackles (132) as a senior
· Earned All-CenTex, all-district and Hill Country News Dazzling Dozen honors, while helping the Warriors claim the District 14-5A title.
· Member of Westwood[apos]s PROS (Peer Reach Out and Sharing) program where he worked with first graders at Spicewood Elementary, served as a Round Rock ISD mentor during his junior and senior years, worked as both a mentor and tutor at the East Austin Real Life Center, and was a mission intern with his brother, Ross, at Hill Country Bible Church.
· Played for the Texas All-Star Baseball Academy Grays in the summer of 2004.

Born Robert Todd Gilfillan on Sept. 5, 1985, in Austin, Texas ... parents are Bob and Jacki Gilfillan ... has one sister, Cami, two brothers, Ross and Clint, and a nephew, Parker ... his grandparents, Jack G. and Nelda A. Brock both graduated from UT in 1970 ... majoring in corporate communication.
