HIGH SCHOOL
· Four-year letterwinner as a pitcher and shortstop for Coach Mike Maack at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Dallas, Texas.
· Posted an 11-0 mark with a 0.52 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 49 innings of work to earn Louisville Slugger All-America first-team honors as well as first-team all-state and all-district.
· Helped guide the Lions to a top 10 national ranking in 2007 with a 31-1 record and finished state runner-up as a senior.
· Garnered TAPPS district MVP, first-team all-state and first-team all-district accolades as a junior as well as making the state all-tournament squad.
· Earned All-State Academic Team recognition while at Prestonwood Christian Academy.
· Selected in the 38th round by the Texas Rangers in the 2007 Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft.
· Played for Coach Sam Carpenter[apos]s Dallas Mustangs in the summer of 2007, helping the team to a runner-up finish at the Connie Mack World Series Regional.

Born James Hunter Hill on Nov. 30, 1988, in Dallas, Texas ... parents are Marc and Susan Hill ... both of his parents graduated from UT and his brother Marcus is currently attending Texas ... considering a major in business.
