· Played in 54 games with 53 starts, including 22 at third base, 14 at designated hitter, eight at catcher, four in leftfield, four in rightfield and one at first base.
· Batted .263 with 45 runs, 47 hits, 11 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 43 RBI and five stolen bases on the year.
· Owned 12 multi-hit efforts and 10 multi-RBI outings.
· Hit .216 with 17 runs, 19 hits, four doubles, five home runs and 19 RBI in 24 Big 12 games.
2008 HIGHLIGHTS
· Hit 2-for-3 with four RBI in season opening win over VCU (2/22).
· Hit 2-for-4 with one run and two doubles against Tennessee?(2/29).
· Logged two runs, one walk and one triple in win over Houston (3/2).
· Batted 2-for-4 with one run, three RBI and one home run in season finale against Stanford?(3/9).
· Opened Kansas series (3/14) with one double, two runs and two RBI.
· Batted 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, two doubles and one triple in win over UT San Antonio?(3/17).

2007 SEASON
· Started all 56 games in which he appeared, making 52 starts behind the plate and four as a designated hitter.
· Batted .286 overall with 36 runs scored, 45 RBI and two stolen bases. Also tallied 17 doubles, two triples and eight home runs (third on the squad) among his 61 hits.
· Owned 16 multi-hit efforts and 11 multi-RBI outings (t5th on team) as well as three game-winning RBI and 17 two-out RBI.
· Ranked fourth on the squad in sacrifice bunts (7), total bases (106) and slugging percentage (.498).
· Ranked third on the team in batting in Big 12 Conference play with a .327 average. Started all 27 league games and logged 18 runs, five home runs and 25 RBI.
· Led the Big 12 with 10 doubles in conference play.
· Hit .300 (3-for-10) with two home runs, two runs scored and three RBI during the Big 12 Championship while amassing a team-high nine total bases for a club-best .900 slugging percentage.
2007 HIGHLIGHTS
· Opened the season going 6-for-11 with two doubles, three runs and two RBI in a three-game series with San Diego (2/2-4).
· Went 3-for-6 with one double, one home run and three RBI in series finale against Stanford (2/18).
· Drove in five runs in three-game series vs. Oral Roberts despite getting just one hit (3/2-4).
· Logged a career-high four hits and added three runs in win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/6).
· Registered the best three-game series of his career, going 6-of-11 with one double, two triples, one home run, four runs and eight RBI against Kansas State (3/23-25).
· Batted .385 (5-for-13) with three doubles, three runs and two RBI in three-game sweep of Texas Tech (4/13-15).
· Batted .727 (8-for-11) with two doubles, one home run, three runs and four RBI in three-game series vs. Missouri (5/4-6).
· Went 3-for-8 with one double, one home run and two RBI in final two games of the Lone Star Showdown vs. Texas A&M (5/19-20).
· Played catcher for the Coppell Copperheads of the Texas Collegiate League under the direction of Coach Heath Autry.
· Batted .268 with 12 runs, four doubles, five home runs and 25 RBI in 24 games.

· Started all 61 games in which he appeared, making 54 starts behind the plate, four as a designated hitter and three at third base.
· Batted .273 overall with 27 runs scored, 30 RBI and one stolen base to his credit. Also tallied 12 doubles, two triples and five home runs (third on the squad) among his 59 hits.
· Owned 17 multi-hit efforts (t4th on team) and seven multi-RBI outings (t5th on team) as well as three game-winning RBI and 17 two-out RBI.
· Tallied the fourth-most sac hits (13) and total bases (90) on the team while ranking seventh in slugging (.417).
· Registered a career-best, eight-game hitting streak.
· Threw out 50% (17-of-34) of base stealers.
· Ranked third among the team[apos]s regular starters with a .304 average
during conference play. Started all 26 league games and amassed 10 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 10 RBI.
· Also tallied 40 total bases for a .435 slugging mark and a .340
on-base percentage during conference action.
· Hit .300 (3-for-10) with two home runs, two runs scored and three RBI during the Austin NCAA Regional Tournament while amassing a team-high nine total bases for a club-best .900 slugging percentage.
2006 HIGHLIGHTS
· Went 2-for-3 with both the first home run and triple of his career while scoring two runs and recording two RBI versus UT Pan American (2/8).
· Tallied two hits versus No. 3 Rice (2/11) at the Houston College Classic.
· Scored two runs and recorded his first career stolen base during a
3-for-4 effort at UNLV (3/3).
· Blasted a three-run home run during a 2-for-4 outing at No. 14 Oklahoma (4/1).
· Batted .308 (4-for-13), .385 (5-for-13) and .400 (4-for-10), respectively, during three-game series with Kansas State (4/8-9), No. 19 Baylor (4/13-15) and No. 3 Nebraska (4/21-23).
· Went a career-best 4-for-5 with one RBI at Texas A&M (4/29).
· Tripled during a 2-for-4, two-RBI effort at Missouri (5/21).
· Posted three hits, including a double, while scoring twice and driving in one run versus Baylor (5/25) during Big 12 Tournament action.
· Went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run vs. UT Arlington (6/2) during the opening game of the Austin NCAA Regional Tournament. Also homered against Stanford (6/3) in Texas[apos] second of three regional contests.
· Played catcher for the U.S. National Team in the summer of 2006 under the direction of Vanderbilt University head coach Tim Corbin.
· Appeared in 26 games for Team USA, including 17 starts. He ranked sixth on the team with a .263 batting average and logged 12 runs and nine RBI.
· Helped Team USA capture its second consecutive International University Sports Federation (FISU) World Championship. He went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the 18-9 championship game win over Chinese Taipei.

HIGH SCHOOL
· A four-year letterwinner as a catcher for head coach Randy Talley[apos]s Rockwall High School baseball program (2001-04).
· Led the Yellowjackets to bi-district, area and regional quarterfinal titles in each of his final three seasons and helped them reach the regional semifinals in 2002 and 2003 before advancing to the regional finals in 2004. Over his four years, Rockwall compiled an overall record of 98-45-1.
· A three-time Rockwall High School Big Stick Award winner and all-area performer (2002-04).
· Named the District 9-5A Offensive Player of the Year in 2002 and the Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2003.
· Garnered Dallas Morning News Newcomer of the Year accolades as a sophomore before being tabbed an AFLAC All-American as a junior.
· Named to the rosters for the Texas Rangers Area Code Teams during the summers of 2002 and 2003 and selected as the AABC Regional MVP during the summer of his sophomore season in 2002.
· Played on the 2003 USA Baseball Junior National Pan American Team during the summer and helped the Americans capture the silver medal at the COPABE Junior Pan Am Championship in Willemstad, Curacao.
· Member of Coach Tommy Hernandez[apos]s Dallas Tigers in the summer of 2003 prior to playing in the Area Code and Pan Am championships. Aided the Tigers in winning the Super Series Tournament in Phoenix.
· Captained the Yellowjackets as a senior in 2004 and earned District 9-5A as well as Rockwall High School MVP honors. Tabbed Rockwall[apos]s Athlete of the Year and a Sports Link All-American while being named the MVP for the East Team of the North Texas All-Star Game, batting .342 with seven home runs, 34 RBI, seven doubles and one triple.
· Selected in the 39th round of the 2004 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Cleveland Indians.
· Volunteered his time at the Angel League Special Olympics.
