· Pitched in 10 Big 12 Conference games, including nine starts, amassing a 2-2 record with a 5.83 ERA, and 17 strikeouts in 46.1 innings.
2008 HIGHLIGHTS
· Earned a win against VCU (2/22), scattering six hits over 6.0 innings while allowing two runs while striking out six.
· Pitched 7.2 innings against Stanford?(3/7) to earn second win of the season while logging a career-high eight strikeouts and scattering five hits and two runs.
· Tossed one inning of hitless, shutout relief with one strikeout against Kansas?(3/16).
· Scattered six hits and two walks while striking out one and allowing only two runs over 6.1 innings in start against Nebraska?(3/29).
· Earned win against Kansas State?(4/27), scattering five hits and giving up four runs, two earned, and striking out five Wildcats over 7.1 innings.
· Notched his first career complete-game, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three vs. No. 9 Texas A&M; (5/14).
· Picked up two wins at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, one in relief against Kansas State in the title game (5/25), working 3.1 scoreless innings and allowing only one hit with two strikeouts and the other in his start against Texas?A&M; (5/22), going 5.1 innings and allowing six runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

2007 SEASON
· Appeared in 25 games, including 12 starts, amassing an 8-1 record with one save, a 3.15 ERA, .245 opponents batting average and 45 strikeouts in 85.2 innings.
· Went 6-1 with a 2.73 ERA and 33 strikeouts over 59.1 innings over his 12 starts.
· Held left-handers to a .211 (15-for-71) batting average on the season.
· Pitched in seven Big 12 Conference games, including three starts, amassing a 2-0 record with a 2.45 ERA, .202 opponents' batting average and 12 strikeouts in 25.2 innings.
2007 HIGHLIGHTS
· Scattered four hits and three walks while striking out five over five shutout innings to earn a win against UT Pan American (2/13) in his first start of the season.
· Allowed just two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three over 5.2 innings in a no decision versus Washington State (2/25).
· Yielded just one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings in a win versus Oral Roberts (3/4).
· Allowed one run on three hits and one walk over 5.2 innings to earn a win in relief against Texas State (3/20).
· Earned a victory against No. 8 Rice, allowing just two unearned runs on three hits while striking out two over 5.2 innings (3/27).
· Pitched three solid innings of relief against Oklahoma (4/1), allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out two over three innings.
· Allowed one run on four hits while striking out five over six innings in a win over UT Pan American (4/24).
· Logged six scoreless innings with three hits, two walks and three strikeouts to close out the first-ever sweep of Oklahoma State (4/29) at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
· Pitched two scoreless innings of relief against Arkansas-Pine Blue (5/12), allowing three hits and one walk while striking out two.
· Closed out sweep of Texas A&M; (5/20) by allowing one run on five hits while striking out two Aggies for the win.
· Earned a victory in relief vs. Nebraska (5/26) at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship with 3.2 innings of shutout ball, allowing one hit and striking out one.
· Earned his first save of the season with one inning of scoreless relief against Wake Forest (6/3) at the NCAA Regional.
· Split his summer between the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League and the Santa Barbara Forsters of the California Collegiate League.
· Went 0-2 with a 4.67 ERA in four starts with the Mets and 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA and 15 strikeouts over 12.1 innings in two starts with the Foresters.

2006 SEASON
· Led Texas and ranked fourth in the Big 12 in total appearances (35) while also making one start.
· Tied the UT freshman record for appearances held by Huston Street (2002) and tied for seventh on the school single-season list overall.
· Owned the third-best ERA among Texas hurlers at 3.15 while tying for sixth in the league with a team-best seven saves. The seven saves tied him for ninth on the school single-season saves chart.
· Amassed a 4-3 overall record to tie for fourth on the UT pitching staff in victories while boasting 37 strikeouts over 45.2 innings of work.
· Limited opponents to a .241 batting average against, which was good for second on the club, while walking only 19 over his 45.2 innings.
· Finished the conference season by tying for the most appearances in league play (17) by any Big 12 hurler and tying for third in saves (5).
· Registered a 2-1 record to go along with a 3.98 ERA and 18 strikeouts over 20.1 innings of work during Big 12 competition.
· Appeared in relief during four of Texas' five postseason games and
combined on one shutout.
2006 HIGHLIGHTS
· Pitched 1.1 scoreless innings in relief at San Diego (2/3) in his first career appearance in a Longhorns' uniform.
· Worked a then-career-long four innings against UT-San Antonio (2/14) en route to notching his first career victory as he surrendered only two hits while striking out three during his first career start.
· Fanned two over 3.1 innings of one-hit relief at No. 11 Stanford (2/19).
· Earned his first career save with a 1.2-inning effort at UNLV (3/5).
· Combined for 2.2 innings of scoreless relief against No. 19 Long Beach State (3/10) and versus No. 11 Arizona State (3/14) while tallying his
second win of the year following his 1.2 innings opposite the Dirtbags.
· Hurled one perfect relief frame with two strikeouts at Texas Tech (3/17).
· Struck out two during a no-hit inning of relief against No. 2 Rice (3/22).
· Tossed a perfect ninth inning at No. 14 Oklahoma (4/1).
· Registered saves in consecutive days against Oklahoma State (3/25-26) by combining for one inning of shutout relief over those two contests. Appeared in relief during all three games against the Cowboys.
· Combined for 2.2 innings of hitless relief in two appearances at No. 14 Oklahoma (4/1-2).
· Improved to 4-1 by working a career-best 4.1 shutout innings of relief during which he allowed only two hits and three walks while striking out a career-high seven at No. 19 Baylor (4/13).
· Picked up a save versus No. 19 Baylor (4/15) by working a perfect ninth inning that included a strikeout.
· Worked the final frame of each of Texas' three games against Texas A&M; (4/29 - 5/1). Surrendered just two hits while walking none and striking out three over those three frames of work. Notched saves in each of the first two contests with the Aggies.
· Retired three of the four batters he faced in the ninth versus Texas Tech (5/24) in Big 12 Tournament play to combine on his first career shutout.
· Pitched for the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod under the direction of Coach Greg King in the summer of 2006.
· Made seven appearances, incuding six starts, posting an 0-1 record, 5.32 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 23.2 innings for the Mets.
HIGH SCHOOL
· Earned two letters as a pitcher and first baseman for head coach and former Longhorns' All-America David Denny's Kingwood High School baseball team (2004-05).
· Aided the Mustangs in reaching the state semifinals with a 32-11 record as a junior and in winning the 2005 5A state title with a 35-6-1 mark.
· Earned all-state honors as a senior by going 14-2 with a 1.25 ERA and 120 strikeouts over 91 innings of work. Also collected 47 hits at the plate en route to recording a .356 season average in 2005.
· Named to the 5A State All-Tournament Team in 2005.
· Selected to play in the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association
High School All-Star Game.
· Pitched and played first base for Coach Clay Hill's Columbia Angels during the summer of 2005.
