AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2019)
Made the move to first base from the outfield during senior season...played in 48 games and made 41 starts, including 31 at first base...finished with a .232 batting average, seven doubles and two home runs...drove in 30 runs and scored 18...went 3-for-4 with on RBI and one run scored against Incarnate Word on May 14...went 2-for-5 at Texas State on April 23…had two hits including a two run home run against Oklahoma State on April 20…had three RBI and a double against Lamar on April 16…had two RBI during the win at Baylor on April 31…had a walk-off two RBI double against Xavier on March 31…went 1-for-2 with one RBI on March 24 at TCU…drove in two runs on a double against Arkansas on March 19...in the series-opening win at Stanford, went 2-for-4 with two RBI...had a four-game hitting streak from Feb. 23 to March 1…had back to back two hit games on Feb. 26-27, where he went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and a double against Sam Houston State and then went 2-for-4 with a season-high three RBI and first home run of the season against UTSA...first hit of the season was an RBI double against Purdue on Feb. 23.
AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2018)
Named Academic All-Big 12 first team…hit .252/.355/.364 in 64 games…opened the season as the left fielder before becoming the everyday center fielder and collecting three outfield assists…hit 13 doubles and five triples while driving in 22…went 5-for-9 in stolen bases…over eight NCAA Tournament games, hit .346/.439/.538, collecting nine hits, two doubles and a triple while walking six times and going 1-for-1 in stolen bases…on June 17 vs. Arkansas in the College World Series, went 3-for-3 with a triple, a walk, and a run scored…on June 11 vs. Tennessee Tech in the Super Regional, went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored…had a three-hit game with a stolen base and an RBI on May 4 at Texas Tech…also collected three hits on April 10 at Texas A&M…went 6-for-15 with five RBI in three games at K-State (March 29-31)…in Saturday's game at K-State, hit a game-tying, bases-loaded double in the top of the ninth…collected his third outfield assist of the season on March 20 vs. Sam Houston State when he collected a double off the wall and hit Kody Clemens at relay who got the runner at home…stole his first base of the season on March 4 vs. Northwestern…collected four consecutive multi-hit games from Feb 21 to Feb 25, concluding with a 3-for-5 effort on Feb 25 at LSU…drove in two on Feb 23 at LSU…had an outfield assist in the season opener vs. Louisiana…named to the 2017 Fall Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2017)
Appeared in 38 games with 22 starts for the Longhorns…made his first career start on March 8 vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and picked up the first hits of his career…finished 2-for-3 with 2 doubles, 3 runs scored, a walk and a hit by pitch…on March 21 at Texas State, pounded out a career-high 4 hits en route to a 4-for-6 day with a double and 4 RBI…hit his first career home run on March 17 vs. Texas Tech…on March 28 at Whataburger Field vs. TAMU-CC, hit his first career grand slam and added a career-best 5 RBI…went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit double on May 27 vs. TCU in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2016)
Appeared in nine games for Texas, entering each time as a pinch-runner … scored four times on the season … picked up his first collegiate at-bat on March 8 vs. Sam Houston State … stole his first base on March 6 vs. California … made his first career appearance as a Longhorn on February 27 vs. Stanford … pinch-ran and came around to score.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015)

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered for two seasons under coach Jim Darilek at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas … was injured his senior season … an all-district pitcher his junior year … as a sophomore was named an all-district utility man … lettered three seasons on the Westlake football team as a safety and was a two-time all-district punt returner … had eight interceptions in high school and was team Defensive MVP his senior year … named to the Academic All-State Team his senior year and Academic All-District his sophomore and junior seasons.
PERSONAL
Son of Ethan and Lysle Shaw … both of his parents are UT graduates … has two brothers, Casey and Collin … Collin played four seasons at Texas from 2012-2015 … majoring in sport management.
